Topic: Pre-Order Fulfillment

Maybe this'd be more appropriate in another thread, but I have a question.

I have a Switch that I pre-ordered this past Sunday, when GameStop.com was showing available preorders... is there a chance the pre order may not be fulfilled in time for launch?

Gamestop knows what their allotment is going to be and you should be fine, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I have pre ordered from NIntendo store UK. Anyone else done this?

I just hope I don't have to wait until the 6th or 7th to play the system.

If you preordered from Gamestop, then you may not have the system on launch day. That's one of the reasons I went with Best Buy. I can order online and pick up in store on launch day

I ordered system and limited Zelda on Amazon since i have Prime. March 3rd can't come soon enough! By the way i think that if you pre-ordered you will surely get the Switch, i have doubts about the launch date quite frankly

Seems it easier to get a pre order in UK. Nintendo site is still taking pre orders for launch day.

I have pre ordered mine with Zelda. Now I just need to find BombermanR. (Still chuffed to bits we have a new Bomberman!!! Hope Konami gives us a new Contra and Gradius too!)

@FGPackers i agree. Nintendo are saying they plan to ship 2 million units for launch.

Kimishima also said that more will be shipped if needed. Looks like that's needed

Ironically, the preorder issue is mostly in Japan more than the west

I really hope this console can do well. I love Nintendo, i love(d) my Wii U and i want to get all i can from Switch

I have my main pre-order with Game so I can pick it up straight after work along with the carry case and Zelda though annoyingly I couldnt order Bomberman, and I still can't get it through Amazon either. So am not happy about that.

@FragRed When did you order with Game? they are giving very mixed messages about their allocation for day 1.

@TheLZdragon But I think if you preorder in store at GameStop, then it should be reserved for pickup at that store on launch date.

Indeed, but I am referring to online. I don't know why Gamestop doesn't offer In Store Pick up

@FragRed I've tried to pre order Bomberman at Game a few times, staff look at me if i'm making it up!

@617Sqn Yeah they told me they haven't been sent the code to enter the Bomberman pre-order into the computer but the staff where you obviously haven't been informed. As often is the case with these shops.

BestBuy is also hosting midnight launches at select locations. I'm just choosing to forego all that (did it for New 3DS and MH4U, what time you get home from a 40 minute drive away it's nearly 1am). Rather take off work the following day and just drive to the closer location to pick up in the morning.

Just bear in mind that it doesn't work if the item has no release date on the page. It will tell you you can't use a credit card which expires within 15 days of release (they treat TBA as infinity). Which means most of the games will be off-limits for this promo but I'm pretty sure there's a couple that qualify.
