Topic: Pokken Tournament DX

I am still torn between this and DBZXenoverse2...I can only afford one right now...

I'm not a Dragon Ball Z fan, but Xenoverse 2 looks very tempting to me, especially since it offers motion controls (of the goofy fun-in-crowds variety). I think it has the potential to be a lot more fun than Pokkén in a group environment. Ball's in your court. I'll definitely get Pokkén, but I'm still on the fence with Xenoverse 2 as I generally do not buy licensed games pertaining to brands that I'm otherwise disinterested in.

@scubydo As am I, but I think I might be moving towards the DBX2 side as I already have vanilla Pokken Tournament.

Well just demoed Pokken Tournament DX and I have to say that I am REALLY leaning toward Pokken...loved the fighting style and my kids could pick it up easily, but I can also enjoy the what depth there is. I know it isn't a hugely deep game. BUT, I also want to support the 3rd party games such as DBZX2...so I am still in a bit of conundrum.

Broke down and pre-ordered Pokken on Amazon for my $10 off pre-orders prime plus release day delivery.

Is P okken going to have a decent player base for online?

@scubydo The Wii U version still has a dedicated, if small playerbase if you go online, so we can likely expect that and more from the Switch version.

The Pokemon I've dedicated my time to learning this time around is Darkrai. They went above and beyond in implementing the mythos and abilities of the character into a fighting game. It's also really entertaining to imagine him beating up his opponent's mind, or that win animation where he looks concerned over the cameraman being caught in one of his nightmares.

anyone know what Amiibo's do on this game ?

And the Shadow MewTwo amiibo card functions as any other Amiibo. It has not special powers. Would have been nice for it to unlock something small for those that double-dipped.

I'm not impressed with the pricing for the dlc, especially as I'm only interested in Blastoise.

Sold my Wii U copy (kept the card), now I got DX again, and this time around, I'm better at the game, but noice to know Shadow Mewtwo is still being a DORK

Did anyone get the DLC? I've seen a cheaper than rrp for the DLC but I was always put off from getting it as I only wanted to play as Blastoise so I'm curious if Aegislash is actually fun to play as.
