Hi. I originally had two email addresses, paying the online membership individually for two of my children. They have decided they want the expansion pack so we wanted to move to family membership. I cancelled one membership and tried to set up family membership using the other email address. I’ve got a list of everyone in our family on the list, but only one console will work. He can use all the games online yet when I try and log onto the second console and link it to that email address. There is no option to choose a different Person. We have spent hors tryin to resolve this.
Logged into your nintendo account on Nintedo's website: after you add a family member's email address (for your NSO subscription), you also have to log into the other nintendo account to APPROVE linking the accounts. (Sometimes people get stuck because they didn't log back into the other nintendo account to approve linking for NSO family plan)
On the switch: go into your Switch User's settings, and link the switch user to the respective Nintendo account. (you can do this from the switch user's page, or from switch settings.) You'll need one switch user for each nintendo account.
*Side Note: there are two NSO family plan options. One is the standard NSO family plan (Lets you play online games like Mario Kart 8, etc, plus access to classic nintendo games: NES, SNES, and I think gameboy games). The other is the NSO Expansion Pass family plan. NSO Expansion pack = Standard NSO + N64 games. (Disregard if you understand. I couldn't tell if you understood based on your post.)
Hi. Apart from the 9ne that’s working, which. Is the original account I’ve purchased the membership on, all the rest are children accounts so no emails attached so no need to approve from what I can see? We have one brand new switch, I’ve set up an account for that child yet when I try and link the switch to an account email (the same one as the other switch as clearly there’s only one email being used as part of the family membership as only one adult) it just tells me it’s already linked and doesn’t give me the list of different users to choose from.
Basically how when you turn the switches on do you choose which family member is playing? We turn them on and there’s no list of family members or anything?
Basically on every switch we have, it just shows one user on them, and it’s one of my children, it’s not even me as the admin of the family group. I can’t give anyone icons on the website or anything. Where is the option on the switch to see the list of family members and who’s switch it is?
