When you start playing a game again after clearing the activity log on your profile (ex. BOTW), will it remember the number of hours you’ve already played or will it start again from zero? I ask because I downloaded a bunch of demos that I only played once, and I was looking to clean up my profile a little bit. I also didn’t want anyone to know that I tried out Just Dance...
I think it stays...but I'm told that it'll only display the last 20 (?) titles that you've played - so I'd suggest playing 20 different games ASAP if you want to hide your inner (Just) Dancer from the world!
Wow I came into the forums looking to create this topic. I've recently played my 20th game. One more and Disgaea 5 that has 140 hours on my profile was the next one to disappear. I was going to load it up so it stayed near the top but now I don't have to. Thank you for trying that out and sharing the information.
I think games that are not displayed still store how long they have been played for, they dissapear if too many games are played. But when the game comes back it will show the same number of hours you played it for.
Lame job, Nintendo. And for those who don't know, every play session is rounded down to the nearest five-minute interval. So, on average, you're being shorted 2.5 minutes for each time you've played. For example, if you've played Odyssey 100 times, your Switch play time will be about 250 minutes — or more than four hours — short. Maybe Nintendo cut costs and farmed out the programming to a sixth-grader.

Unless you only ever play in whole 5 minute intervals
And does it really matter if the "this person played the game X many hours" is a few minutes off per session?
@Burning_Spear sure it’s not precise but too your scenario playing a game 100 times is about 200+ hours total is that 250 minutes or 6 hours that big when you talking about 200 hours
@Burning_Spear Hmm, if only there were some sort of app that had a feature to track hours and minutes...Like some parental control app that could display this information. Those sixth-grades better get working.
@HobbitGamer The parental-control app is what I was referencing. Ever notice that each play session is expressed in a multiple of five minutes? It's because the Switch rounds down to five minutes for every session, so, on average, you're losing about 2.5 minutes of recorded play time each time you play. Not a big deal, but if Wii U and 3DS had precise counters with other neat stats, why can't Switch?
@Burning_Spear The Switch keeps track just fine. It's just the weird way they choose to display it which baffles me. The information is there, otherwise it wouldn't be able to say "5 hours or more, 10 hours or more, etc..." There is just no proper activity log to let the user view that info. Because God only knows why.
