Origami King is way better than both Color Splash and Sticker Star. It’s probably pretty cheap used.

FINALLY I can play this game and not have to worry about selling an organ, limb, and tracking down a GameCube while I'm at it! Day one for sure.

Frankly, this salvaged the Direct for me. Before the end I saw some titles that intrigued me but didn't knock me out of my seat.

I wonder about the reaction of the seller of TTYD GameCube version who set the price really really high on Ebay and to see Switch version will be released with standard MSRP price that cheaper than their inflated price and I'm worried if they will scalp TTYD Remake and set even crazy inflated price than GameCube version.
Those sellers should be banned for scalping the games for their selfish business purpose.

@Anti-Matter I can see some collectors still wanting to pay for the original GameCube version. But for people like me who just want to play the game, I'll happily wait for the Switch version. I could see the Switch release reducing prices a little, but that will likely depend on any changes made.

@Joeynator3000 Super Paper Mario was an excellent game. It was THE ONLY Paper Mario game I've ever finished. And honestly it had a really story & very witty/funny dialogue. And I liked all the characters too.

Honestly, M&L:Paper Jam didn't interest me enough to wanna buy it. Neither did Dream Team or Bowser's Inside Story+Bowser Jr.'s Journey. Just bought only the Super Star Saga remake. Should've bought the GBA original.

Bad timing for me specifically. I just recently beat this game on my Gamecube. I hope they remaster the N64 game too.

I’m in a similar situation. Bought a GameCube and the game about a year and a half ago. Obviously not as recent as you, but it’s hard not to be a little disappointed.

That disappointment is still vastly outweighed by the fact we are getting it on the go and it looks amazing graphics wise.

@Tyranexx you shouldve bought the Paper Mario game years ago especially at a movie and games pawn shop. youd be surprised what to find at multi chain pawn shops from 16 years ago.

I'm wondering if this game will get anything new, Super Mario RPG is apparently getting a new feature where you can refight tougher versions of the bosses. Maybe that will happen here, too? Or a new secret optional boss that's even harder than the original optional boss? (don't think he was even that hard, it was just getting to him that was a pain. xD)

@BobTheBunkerGuy There's no way to refight bosses, the most you could do is repeat the Glitz Pit (or whatever it was called, lol) and fight Rawk Hawk again.

I wouldn't be surprised if they added a 2nd Pit of 100 Trials. Especially since that's exactly what Super Paper Mario did.

Getting to play Luigi’s story would be cool.

I'm dreading to play Chapter 2 again. It's one of the worst levels in the entire game. That tree could've burned for all I care.

I'm pretty sure they'll throw something new in. Otherwise, what's the point of remaking it?

If they just wanted to put the game out with exactly the same gameplay, they'd surely have mostly emulated it like they did with Sunshine and Pikmin.

Then again they also seem to be fully going all in with the paper aesthetic like with the post-sticker star titles.

That takes effort too.

They showed off most of the areas in the game, so those are likely finished or nearly finished. Maybe there will be a side story about Luigi's adventure in the game.

@blindsquarel Dunno what you meant by the first part, but yeah they could add like a second playthrough with tougher/revamped bosses/enemies or something. Or maybe in the underground area could give you another Pit to go through. Anything is possible. lol

Whole heartedly agree. A couple other little ones excited me, but this was the big one.

If most of the areas of the game are ready why delay to 2024? Makes sense for it to be a new side mode.
