I haven't reached that part yet on GameCube version, the dialogue of Princess Peach with computer machine.

I’m honestly super happy that they’re finally re-releasing the game.

My Wii was never able to load any of the second hand discs I got back them when getting the game second hand wasn’t super expensive.

I found the person that we have to thank.

I already still have Thousand Year Door for my Gamecube so Ill pass on getting it for my Switch Lite.

Besides if i really want to play the game all over again i can just hook up my gamecube to my tv and play the game any time whenever

This remaster is likely going to determine the future of the series. If it sells well ( like 10 million) then I think the RPG format would come back for new titles. But if it sells less or similar to Origami King then I think Nintendo stays with the newer format.

Honestly I hope they go with a merging of the two styles.

My only hope is that they remove some of the backtracking in the later chapters. Maybe in chapter 4 they could put a pipe near the creepy steeple that leads back to Twilight town. And then they could just remove the entire General White quest or at the very least only have you find him once.

Huh. So I was getting Super Mario RPG partially because it was an actual Mario RPG, but it might be a bit lower priority considering how A. This was the dream and B. I don't own this game anymore, unlike Super Mario RPG where I have it on both Wii and the SNES Classic.

If I had a nickel for every time in 2023 Nintendo announced a remake to a Mario RPG, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice.

I swear if people make up excuses to not buy it like they did Advance Wars, I'll never forgive them.

After I've finished Origami King, I think I'll probably give this a go.
And by the sounds of it, I'll be in for a treat haha😁

Now that I've calmed down a fair bit since the original announcement, it's so crazy to me that I now have the means to play every single Paper Mario game: 64's on NSO, TTYD HD is coming next year, I just picked up Super for my old Wii and Origami King is already on Switch!

Yep: every single one (weird how they skipped over both 3DS and Wii U huh)

@Fizza I take it you don't like Paper Mario Sticker Star or Color Splash? 😂 I guess that seems to be a popular opinion though

If you can get your hands on Color Splash for cheap, then it would be worth a play. It’s not as good as the other 4 games in the series but it’s still a fun time.

Sticker Star kinda sucks though. I still enjoy it, but it ain’t great.

Sticker Star was...."ok", but after beating it once I never touched it again. I'm fine with things being different (perfect example being Super Paper Mario), but Sticker Star just felt...so...bland. Bowser doesn't even talk, wtf? lol

After that I didn't even bother with Color Splash or Origami King. Even Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam just never interested me.

I do hope Super shows up at some point, though.

Sticker Star and Color Splash are the guilty pleasure to use 3D objects as Summon spell like Final Fantasy games.
Looking at the enemies being cut into million pieces by scissors / Turnip, burned into ash by fire, soaked with water, blown by the tornado, attacked by noisy sound, being impaled by high heel shoes, struck by lightning from battery, etc.

I prefer Sticker Star and Color Splash over than Origami King.
3D objects Summon spell is my guilty pleasure to punish the enemies in the battle.
My favorite Objects Summon are Turnip, Battery Wii U version, Fan, Scissors, Piggy Bank, High Heel shoes.
