Watching GVG's stream from an hour ago, Train apparently increases the train of ghosts faster. I dunno if or when I'll try this, I may like it slightly more than Tetris.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Well, I'm taking a break from Rise, decided to finally try this game out.
...Aaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd...
...Yeah I hate it, skill means nothing (I'm actually decent in Tetris and PAC-MAN), sometimes I do very well...other times I die right at the beginning. It's just like Tetris 99...
I'd rather just play CE2, actually I'm gonna go do that now. lol
Ugh, of course the one that's actually good and fun...Nintendo randomly deletes it from existence.
I still think it's really fun, but you'll have to ask me in at least a month if I think its genuinely all that great or if Championship Edition era Pacman is just so good that even a very flawed version of it still works despite itself.
I do think being actually great at this probably requires even quicker thinking and timing than either of the other games did, regardless. Mario 35 was sometimes more a game of consistently being good enough at Mario 1.
I personally think Pac Man 99 is a great idea, I just stink at Pac Man so I don't think I will partaking in this experience. I would rather have Super Mario 35 come back myself...

So apparently this near miss effect isn't a near miss..sortof, it's actually a perfect dodge to phase through ghosts.
How do you perform this perfect dodge?
The same way you do a perfect turn around the corner and also when the ghost is practically touching you and also rounds the corner. Gamexplain recommends to perform this maneuver at a high speed level.
This maneuver is yet to be tested on red Pac-men [edit: Apparently, according to GameXplain comments, Perfect Dodge does work on red Pac-men.]
Got my first win last night! Maybe like an hour in it. I don't think I'll stick around for long, but it's fun for now. I can pretty consistently get into the top 20 or so, but I blunder into the red pac men a lot lol
I've never been very good at Pacman, and that isn't changing with this. I think I came in 7th once was my best so far (I've only played 5 or 6 times I think). I mostly end up dying from the red pacmen more than anything else, often getting cornered where there is literally nothing I can do so I just sit there until one of them gets me. I pretty much stuck with Mario 35 just until I finally won once, but I'm not sure I'll even make it that long with this one.
I've won a few times and find this quite addictive. There are subtle strategies, such as the risk-reward of increasing your speed versus that of the ghosts. I also like the Score Attack mode.
