Having previously had no issues before, I am now unable to access the alleyway in the upper-right corner of Inkopolis and I'm faced with the message "To enter this area, you need to purchase and download Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion". But I have and this is confirmed in the eshop when it states it has been purchased. As stated I have played this DLC before with no issues. There is no re-downloadable content to download via the eshop menu so genuinely have run out of ideas. Has anyone come across this before and can anyone help?
Have you checked that the regions line up? A friend a mine bought the Octo Expansion from a different region than his game cart, and they didn't sync. What proceded was a string of emails in Japanese which eventually won his a refund and a small amount of pride. But yeah, give it a check.
EDIT: Sorry, I didn't reread your message carefully enough. If it's suddenly booted you out after previously working fine that's... odd. I've not heard of it happening before. Do you still have any clothing or other things from the Expansion?
It's actually my lads game and he assures me that he can still access the DLC only clothing. He purchased it a while ago and was happy with it but then it just stopped letting him access that specific area (which is the main part!). I've had a thorough look at how to delete DLC content and download again to no avail. As I can't repurchase it (as it correctly states that it's already been purchased) there is no way of accessing that area. Very weird!!
