I think that we know already some of the phase 1 titles that will be available in the launch window-- Zelda, Mario, Pokken, and Retro's alleged new IP. I think it's also safe to bet on ports like DQ, FF, and Tekken 7. And if you're one of the 140 million console gamers out there that hasn't bought a WiiU, you will probably have emulation for WiiU titles you've never played like Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Mario Maker, and Donkey Kong TF. Right now is the time for Nintendo begin development on their phase 2 software. They have to begin this fall on software for 2017 and 2018. What would your software plan be? What titles would you greenlight to expand the Western audience? -I would expand Retro and divide the studio between Retro Sports and Retro Story. Retro Sports would have 4 teams and Retro Story would have 3 teams. -2 teams at Retro Sports would work on 2018 titles, NCAA football and baseball -2 teams at Retro Sports would work on 2017 titles, Punch-Out Online and Wave Race -1 team at Retro Story would begin work on a new first person Metroid for Dec. 2018 release -1 team would begin work on a new first or third person IP for 2018 release -1 team would develop a first person online Western shooter using Unreal 4 or CryEngine for fall 2017 -NOJ has likely already entered development on other titles for 2017 and 2018 like Zelda Maker, F-zero, or Mario Kart 9

None of those are serious, realistic American sports games

That doesnt mean they can still do it. (yeah i gave you examples of Mario Sports) but still, surely if they ever wanted to make an american sports game. Nintendo could offer one of those developers to work on it. i never said it had be mario sports game anyways, all i said was they got those developers that could help them making a sports game.

@Neko_Ichigofan: this can be interpreted in many ways. it could be the final devkits. it could be indies hwo just received them after pubs, etc.
