@Meowpheel even that wouldn't be true. No More Heroes isn't anywhere near as well-known or even liked as some people probably think.

Not as in, "everyone" appreciates them. The fans. He also grouped suda51 games in general, not just NMH.

Just in this thread we have people who want a statue of the developer and describing them as godly.

Anyway, I hope the game is good and satifies the fans. If I ever get a switch, maybe I'll give it a chance,

@Samus7Killer It wouldn't make much sense for it to be anything but NMH with levels/locations based on indie levels.

@MarcelRguez right. It might be a mix of indie style and 3rd person hacky slashy.
Either way ill support this game.

Well, we live in a world where "indie" can mean anything from text-based adventure to hd spiritual experience. With every other graphical and gameplay style in between.

What would count as an "indie level" or "indie style"?

@Meowpheel right. Indies have come a long way. The line is beginning to blur. Im pretty picky when choosing my indies, but as a Suda51 fanboy I'll day 1 this for sure whatever the game is.

Probably because his games are quite shallow and don't have as much depth as your average AAA. So yeah, in that way you can call his games "indie".

@Meowpheel Picture any given level of NMH. 3D, mostly linear, scripted and with some pickups here and there. Now skin it with Hotline Miami's aesthetics and theme. That's what most people seem to this this game will be. It still would be indie, in the same way something like Let It Die could be considered indie.

@Octane his previous games are not indie. Youre wrong.
Go play Shadows of the Damned. That game is not indie nor shallow at all.

Apparently it was confirmed on stream. Awesome. Hotline Miami and Shovel Knight are two of the six indie worlds.

This concept is really interesting. I wonder how far they'll go within each game. I mean, Hotline Miami fits rather well considering NMH is very bloody.

But Shovel Knight? It feels like it'd be really weird to decapitate people in that world.

Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

Grasshopper Manufacture, an award-winning Japanese developer of videogames is delighted to announce the return of Travis Touchdown in Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, due for release for Nintendo Switch in 2018.
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is a raucous 3D action title, where Travis touchdown wields the Beam Katana to massacre his way through countless enemies, taking on ferocious bosses in an epic battle with Badman. This marks the first time in ten years that SUDA51 has taken on the mantle of director.
“We’ve received a tremendous amount of support from our fans over the years, and we are delighted to finally share Travis Touchdown’s next great adventure with fans of Nintendo Switch,” said Goichi “SUDA51” Suda, founder of Grasshopper Manufacture. “We’re ecstatic to be expanding the No More Heroes universe in 2018, and we can’t wait to share more information with you in the coming months.”
Set in the remote countryside of the southern US, one year has passed since the events of No More Heroes. Badman has come to exact his revenge on Travis for the murder of his daughter, Badgirl. As the two foes are battling it out, they’re sucked inside the phantom game console ‘Death Drive MK-II’, a machine developed by Doctor Juvenile. It is said that whomever collects and beats all six of its games will have their wishes granted.

@IceClimbers Based on Hotline Miami, I thought the team would only work with devs who've put out something that blends well with NMH's aesthetics, but seems like that won't be the case.

Yeah, it sure would be weird if No More Heroes was in an 8-bit inspired world. They've never done that before. (Slider said, with sarcasm tags large enough to crush a city)
