I gues it’s not out of the question that the Switch will get a Madden game, but it doesn’t look like it will be 22. Or if they release one, it will be separate of the current version. Frustrating. A handheld football game would be so cool!

Unfortunately, EA has the exclusive rights to simulation Murican football games through 2026. 2K could do an arcadey NFL Blitz clone as an alternative. Although 2K's predatory gambling mechanics aren't any better than EA's. Nope, Mutant Football League still stands as the best Murican football game on Switch.

@rockodoodle Check out Mutant Football League. There are options available to make the game as arcade or sim like you want. In fact I play a Sim season where I shut off all the hazards and such and the players stats do match their real life counter parts. If it wasn't for not having the NFL license I would sware its Madden. Even plays better at times too.

Is it a problem with EA or do sports games just not do well on Nintendo devices? I'm in the UK, i'm a foodball fan, but FIFA doesn't appeal to me, this is made worse by EA not putting the effort it, however if they released NHL 22 on the Switch, I would buy it!

I really don’t understand, other than maybe some hardware limitations coup,Ed with a grudge against Nintendo. Or maybe the old ports didn’t sell as well and they use that as an excuse…with the user base, no prior editions, really no other game like it, I guess EA doesn’t want to make money. Even a gimped version would sell a million pretty easily.
