On Christmas day I had a real blast playing Nippon Marathon with my family. It is simply the funniest game ever. You find yourself running a foot race through the most insane obstacle course ever created. People throw things at you, dogs try to bite you, cars try to run you over, and you take all kinds of crazy falls only to get up and keep moving. If you're looking for a hilarious party game, you've got to get Nippon Marathon. Just realize that the game isn't nearly as much fun if you play it alone in single player. In fact, I strongly suggest that you should play it with others first before really playing in single player because once you learn the courses it won't be quite as funny.
Just began playing this today and I have to say...I'm pleasantly surprised. Four different playable characters, each with their own story mode to go through. The racing mechanics are unique, as is the scoring system. This game has similar vibes to the PS1 cult classic Pepsi-man, only with multiplayer.
Unfortunately, the game engine (Unity) has a hiccup every now and then, which can really derail your race. Other than that bit of jank the game is fun. But there are better competitive racers out there such as Runbow, Party Golf, etc.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,322 games (as of November 7th, 2024)

@Magician Unfortunately, I've found this game to be less fun the more familiar you become with it. What's fun about it are the hilarious surprises, but once you've played enough to know what all the surprises are, then all you are left with is the gameplay which alone isn't enough to make it fun.
