ELDERWOODS IS HERE! I for one cannot wait, it will be great to have more players what with the PS/XBox release happening at the same time! The downside is... Palia is currently on the list of incompatible games for the Swicth 2. So here's hoping it gets an upgraded version ASAP!
@FishyS according to the CM on Discord, Lacie, the team is trying to get a dev kit. This was a few months back, so I'm not sure how much progress has been made in that direction, but they're working towards it!
There are rumblings of the OG Switch being dropped from the supported hardware list, since a lot of the technical limitations of the game are directly due to needing everything to be compatible with the Switch. (That's entirely unconfirmed, though!)
@CaleBoi25 That would be neat. I'll revisit the game if that happens. Although it would be sad for current players if Switch 1 support goes away. I don't know how popular the game is; I kind of expected it to be dead by now after 2 years.
@FishyS yeah, it's definitely a tough choice. Moving to Switch 2 would allow them to add more, since PC, XBox, and PS5 can all obviously handle a lot more; at the same time, the Switch is one of their biggest platforms, after PC (though I don't know the split between S1 and S2 players). I think the long term benefits of dropping S1 support are greater than the short term negatives, buuuut it would still be a hard blow.
