I have a switch V1 lets go eevee edition, there is a hissing noise came from the speaker, not very loud, have to put my ear near the speaker to notice it but is quite annoying when i play in silent room, the hissing noise is same like my bluetooth wireless headphone cause by interference, or what they called (noise floor), it only happened in handheld mode, 3.5mm jack and docked mode have no issue, the hiss stops if volume is completely off, since the speakers seem to turn off, the hiss seems the same at low or high volume. The hissing noise is easily notice in main menu because there is no background music, when i press the power button to let the console sleep, the noise cut off, when i wake the switch, the noise back on in the menu, when gaming, the noise also is there but since the game music is louder so i cant notice it, i wonder what is the problem, did anyone had this issue?

here i made a video of my switch https://youtu.be/BBFeScBRV7o

Have you tried to restart or shutdown and power back on to see if it happen again? How long have you had your unit? It could be a possible speaker issue that needs fixing so you might want to contact Nintendo support and see what they say.

@MrGuGuZai Like SwitchForce said, I think the issue you describe likely indicates a hardware problem, which probably requires repair. As far as I know, I don't think your issue is common. So, it might be difficult to find someone else with the issue. That's just my best guess.

If you contact Nintendo about the issue, they will ask if your Switch is current with updates. It may sound pointless, but it's just a basic troubleshooting step when you're trying to rule out causes.

@MrGuGuZa I think you should contact nintendo bc Hissing is never a good sign and you should get a refuned if you didn't break it yourself.

@Snatcher OP MrGuGuZa is in Malaysia. Based on Nintendo's regional websites options, MrGuGuZa probably does not have official Nintendo repair in their country - China & Austrailia appear to be the closest. So, I'm not sure how available Nintendo is for help, unfortunately. I think that's the consensus I've gotten from Anti-Matter, who's in Indonesia. I welcome being wrong, though, because that would be beneficial for MrGuGuZa.

@MrGuGuZai Ya it sounds like its almost overheating, Sadly the only thing you can do is replace it and I suggest you do so, bc it might become I fire hazerd, it could catch on fire (Witch I really don't think will happen) but just to be safe, where did you buy the switch from?

@MrGuGuZai I checked out the video. Very interesting. Believe it or not, my right speaker also makes a faint hiss, but I have to put my ear on the speaker to hear it. My right speaker clicks off just like yours a second after you hit sleep. The hiss seems the same at low or high volume, but the hiss stops if volume is completely off, since the speakers seem to turn off. (I have a launch day V1 Switch)

So, @MrGuGuZai, the fact that your speaker hisses appears to be normal, but it shouldn't be loud enough hear with normal use, that does seem abnormal. So, if you got it fixed, or got a brand new Switch, it will likely be like mine, you'd never notice the hiss unless you put your ear on the speaker.

@Snatcher it's not the fan, I dare you to try it. It's only the right speaker. It's not problematic like MrGuGuZai's, but I can hear it if I put my ear on the speaker (in a silent room).

@WoomyNNYes actually i also have to put my ear on the speaker to notice the hiss, the video i recorded i put my mic very near the speaker, thats why the hiss is louder in the video. what you describe is same like my problem, so i guess its nothing to worry about, ill just leave it be.... until i upgrade to v2 or next revision!
thanks for you help!

@WoomyNNYes Ya I figured it out after watching the video for like the 3rd time,. @MrGuGuZai what about headphones how does it work when you use thos?

MrGuGuZai

@Snatcher headphone and docked mode have no problem, only hiss from the switch's speaker

MrGuGuZai

Snatcher

@MrGuGuZai Ok good so its just the speaker that is busted, So you can do two things, if you think you can live with it and just play with headphons, play it on the tv but if your a portable gamer the headphons sound like a good idea, send it back from where you bought it they should replace it saying as it came like that, or This one is really risky fix it yourself but this will break your warinty on it and you wouldn't be able to send it back so this is more of a last resort. Now if non of theas work I have some more ideas that might work.
