The lack of clarity on release dates, what's coming and when to expect it is the main problem for me. Seems completely disorganised at the moment.
On another note...
January 20 they said for Banjo Kazooie. It's the 21st here about 9am and still no sign of it showing up. Nintendo Aus/NZ could at least provide that information to its subscribers. Piss poor stakeholder management here. They'll charge some exorbitant amount for membership, but their relationship through mass communication at the very least with the customers needs serious work.
I also own PS5 and Xbox Series X, and the PS Plus and Game Pass crap all over NS Online. And Game Pass trumps them both for value. My NS Online sub runs out in October and it's going to take something pretty special for me not to let it lapse without a second thought.
NSO, which absolutely deserves its hate, has been key to me falling in love with retro/older titles. I've been able to try out series that I never even knew existed beforehand like Punch Out, Pilotwings, Star Fox, Donkey Kong and many more. There are also some of the most underrated gems I've ever played such as Spanky's Quest, WinBack: Covert Ops, Ninjajajamaru-kun and DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON MARIO PICROSS (I have 25 hours in it ALONE). Even now I'm still discovering some titles that I have never played before yet fallen in love with (aka Paper Mario). It's spurred me to try and go for a lot more older stuff than new, such as last Summer when I got the AA Trilogy and GAA Duology, whilst also getting DOOM 1993 for free on Black Friday with Gold Points, all of which becoming iconic sticking points in my mind (particularly AA if you know me well). So, for all it's faults and dripfeed and desperate need of new servers (Splatoon 2 apparently has the framework to run on Windows 98 servers. What), it'll always be what I come back to more often than not .

I also like NSO more than I hate it.
The cloud saves are neat, the online is working under Mario Kart and I can finally play NES and SNES classics as much as I want. (I never owned one of these consoles back in my youth. I was relying on friends and family members who owned one.)
Since January 2021 owner of my first real Nintendo "home" console.
The only games I play online at the moment due to time constraints are rally games and thankfully WRC 9 daily events run really well. I've looked at what's available with Switch Online and yeah, like most of you, I was hoping for more.
