Hope they remake Super Mario Sunshine like they did with Mario 64 Ds. those zelda remakes were pretty lame
Mario 64 DS wasn't a good game in my opinion, the controls didn't work like they should've and there was no reason to include all those other characters other than to make it ''different'', it just didn't work.
I agree that the controls were hard to get used to. In fact, I played the side minigames more than the actual game! lol XD The game itself still had some great moments, though. I was still quite young when I got this game, so I remember enjoying quite a bit, I do remember the controls frustrating me from time to time.
As for Sunshine, I just want something related to it, whether a remake or a sequel. Either would be okay, but at least put Luigi into the game, Nintendo! XD
Yeah, the mini-games were fun, and I too enjoyed them more than the actual game. Which is quite remarkable considering I think the N64 version is still a blast to play through.
The problem with more characters in Mario Sunshine is that it makes even less sense than in Mario 64, what are Wario and whatnot doing on Isle Delfino? Mario, Peach and the Toads went on holiday and Mario ''got in trouble''. I don't see how adding more playable characters is going to improve that in any way.
As for a sequel, I rather see a complety new game, a sequel to Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy; Something completely new. Going back to Isle Delfino or bringing back FLUDD isn't going to make an original game and it's going to be the same thing again. And this is coming from someone who considers Mario Sunshine his favourite Mario game. I'm fine with a remaster sometime down the road, as long as they stick to the original game and don't add all the nonsense that was present in Mario 64.
@Octane: I was hoping maybe a sequel to Sunshine could maybe have multiple islands that maybe only certain characters could adventure through. It would make the game longer, and probably more challenging. Maybe a plot could be like Mario Party, where all the characters go on a vacation together; I don't know, I just want Luigi playable more often! XD I thought it was sad that Mario, Peach, and the Toads got to go on a vacation and not Luigi, he deserves a break too! Sunshine is my favorite Mario game as well by far, and I wouldn't want them to change the formula too much if they make a sequel, but I'm fine with a couple extra characters and islands.
I'm done with Galaxy though. I think two is enough, unless they put something completely new into the game, more than just another type of power-up. I also hope there is never a remake of these two games. I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but it's still what I think! The Galaxies game weren't bad at all, but I'd prefer a sequel to Sunshine or Mario 64 before Galaxy.
I don't think we really need multiple characters in Sunshine, that would seem fairly pointless and extraneous. If anything they should come up with new FLUDD nozzles, but I can't think of any. Luigi should at the very least make a cameo in Hotel Delfino though. What Sunshine needs most is to add more content and fix its progression system. Throw in 3+ more levels, make it so you don't need to beat every Episode 7 to beat the game, and do something about Blue Coins.
As for Pokemon, I'd really like to see a Kanto remake that's more of a BW2 sort of experience, that can drastically overhaul the game since it's aged so poorly even after being revisited 3 times. The region and area design is so small and simplistic that it looks like it was designed by a 5 year old, the Kanto Dex is has more holes in it than swiss cheese and needs some newer Pokemon to fill in the gaps that existed in the originals, and the plot barely even exists and needs to be fleshed out badly. The limitations of the GB smack you in the face, and I'd like to play a Kanto game that feels like it was made in the 21st century.
I'd also very much like DP remakes but only if they keep most of what they did in the originals intact. I don't care if there's no Battle Frontier, but please don't remove or nerf any areas or remove the Platinum Dex Pokemon especially. As for things they could add, they could flesh out the storyline similarly to ORAS, with new Mega equivalents for Dialga/Palkia and a post game story arc involving Giratina and Arceus. The Underground could also be improved with 6th gen's online system, it'd be a lot more fun if you could communicate with dozens of people online.
Sonic Generations Remake, parhaps? (for sonic's 25th birthday with SG2?) or Rayman Collection with Rayman 1 to Legends + Arena?
A remake of a game that's 3 years old???
"I'll take a potato chip... AND EAT IT!"
Light Yagami, Death Note
"Ah, the Breakfast Club soundtrack! I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff!"

Games that deserve remakes:
Banjo-Kazooie Original Duology
Gunstar Heroes
The Streets of Rage Trilogy
Paper Mario

For a non-Nintendo game, I would love to see a remake of Rayman 3, that's my favorite Rayman game! I've played it so many times, it's super fun. Funny story: I thought I got Rayman Arena at Blockbuster, (obviously a long time ago), and I was quite little at the time. I was introduced to the Rayman series thanks to Rabbids, and when I saw it at the store, I had to get it! The box cover said Rayman Arena, but when I got home, Rayman 3 was inside! After looking at reviews of Rayman Arena, I was SO HAPPY I got Rayman 3 instead! I still have the game, just with the wrong box. XD I guess whoever misplaced the disc in the wrong box was either sad to figure out they lost Rayman 3, or wanted to keep Arena for some reason... I'm not complaining either way!
For a Nintendo game other than Sunshine, I would like to see either a remake of the original Luigi's Mansion, or another sequel ON THE WII U! The remake or sequel would work really well using the Gamepad as a map, and using motion controls. The gamepad screen would be nice so you wouldn't have to keep pausing to check on the map. I think it would also be cool if the controller rumbled whenever a non-generic ghost was near, but that's just a random idea. I wasn't a huge fan of Dark Moon; even though the map was visible on the bottom screen, I thought it should've been on the Wii U in the first place.
I'd really love a Sunshine remake, complete with bonus levels and better controls. And better resolution, of course.
But I'd rather see Nintendo revive old IPs, like they did with Kid Icarus. But I guess they won't, seeing as the games won't sell.

Yeah, it's simplistic, I'll give you that. But "it looks like it was designed by a 5 year old"? Come on!

Some of the areas do look like they've been designed by a 5 year old. Look at Rt. 7, 16, and 18, they're so short you can cross them in 5 seconds. Quite a few of them are nearly empty as well. And what really takes the cake? Rock Tunnel. Look very closely at a map of Rock Tunnel and try to follow along from one ladder to the next.
Is there any sense to this dungeon design whatsoever? The ladders don't match up at all and the path goes all over the place. This simply isn't professional level design.
I really think Nintendo and square enix should do a soul blazer remake or sequel. They could do so much with the game now. Maybe a solstice remake, that may be neat. But a soul blazer game would-be bad ass.:)
I think an EarthBound remake with 3D visuals would be fantastic. Since Itoi isn't making another Mother game, remaking the most iconic one is a way to get a 'new' Mother game. The source material is there, it's not a new game, but it would certainly feel like it. If there is one game I want to see remade, it's EarthBound.
Currently Playing: SMITE, ROTTR, Halo 5: Guardians (XB1), Xenoblade Chronicles X (WiiU), Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 2 (3DS)

I thought the entire point of those tunnels was that you'd get disorientated. The seemingly endless tunnel where you're bombarded by Zubat and Geodudes is a Pokemon staple. The reason the ladders don't make sense is because every level of the tunnel is in its own square. So you'd assume that they've done that to save space.

They can accomplish both of those things easily without having to screw up the ladders.

Does it matter though? It's not as if there are ladders that lead to a dead end. It's basically one long corridor anyway. I don't see the problem, we've had plenty of caves in Pokémon games that didn't make sense design-wise, just to screw with you and create a the illusion of being lost. Seeing how every other cave is correct, I think this was done on purpose.

No, Rock Tunnel is literally the only cave in the entire series that does that. The others do screw with you, but the ladders match up.
Have to admit, Donkey Kong Country 1-3 remade with the original quality models and renders would be amazing, as would a version with new HD models and environments. But I doubt it's happening, too much work for too little pay off.
The original Zelda games remade in full 3D would be awesome too.
