Topic: Nintendo NX launching this year with an NX Zelda?

The YouTube user who reported the rumor of Final Fantasy coming to NX now claims to have gotten confirmation that the NX IS coming this year and will have a Zelda title for the system launching along with it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RYJiVUgcSdE

Question: Why does everyone in the comment section of that video think it's fact? This is no different than "My uncle works at Nintendo".

People believe this dude because in the last few weeks he's been endorsed as a trustworthy source by a few Nintendo news sites editors who have posted his rumors

No idea who this guy is or what his track record is like, but this rumor falls under the "extremely safe speculation" category.

Well, I heard straight from a source at Nintendo, and you can trust me because I am so trustworthy but I am going behind people's back and breaking their trust in order to tell you this, that the NX is the revival of the Game & Watch game hardware line.

Well I heard from my source at Nintendo, who told me because he is my uncle and knows I am trustworthy, that the NX is a device that is implanted in a person's skull that releases chemicals, which cure cancer, into the body. It also feeds games directly to our brain and makes us think we are experiencing them in real life. My uncle gave me evidence, which is totally legit, but I can't show it to you, you'll just have to trust me on this.

My uncle works at Nintendo. I can now confirm that cubicle 3 in the men's toilets on floor 2 is unfortunately out of order. Erm...my uncle works in the sanitary dept. He err doesn't have access to any games. Sorry.

There's another rumor going along with it, that Zelda U will release with Zelda NX, like TP on GC and Wii.

This is pretty safe speculation though.

Lol - you guys are funny. Rumors are rumors, yes - they are fun to talk about. But to make things personal and get nasty about it? Sad. But by all means; continue to throw your humanity aside and call people "idiots" whom you don't even know. You don't know them. You don't know their real thoughts.

Part of the reason I, at first, enjoyed this community was that I thought it was a reprieve from larger forums where people are downright horrible to one another. It seems @shaneoh doesn't care much for that, though.

@rallydefault: to be fair it goes both ways, as I have been called worse things than an 'idiot', and have seen others have the same words flung their way for not taking these rumours as 100% fact. Words like this get used all the time in regards to this hobby of ours, sometimes if you claim to be a fan of a particular series/company you are immediately a 'fanboy' or a 'troll' or worse. Not excusing this behaviour, far from it I am definitely against it, but my advice is just get used to it, particularly as you weren't the recipient of this insult, don't take it all to heart.

I'm interested. SuperMetaldave64 seems confident about it, and based solely on what others have said regarding him, he seems reliable.

@TheLastLugia: Yea, I don't disagree with your observations. I know he wasn't speaking to me, but my personality is that I just need to say something. I know this is what the forums (and the internet) have become, and I think it is sad, and everyone will say "don't take it personally" to those being insulted, but I hold to a belief that as decent human beings discussing something non-personal it should never get to that degree in the first place.

What has this guy leaked in the past that makes him so reliable? All I hear is "other people said he is reliable".

I'm not quite sure tbh. From what I've gathered, he seems to have a good reputation and is apparently described as a reliable source by others and by separate Nintendo sites.

I'm personally just showing mild interest at the moment.

Maybe a bit more of information... seems the source's screenname is "Metaldave" and has been used by GoNintendo "for years and years now" as an anonymous informant of sorts. Just another minute turned up the fact that this Metaldave guy back in 2012 accurately leaked that the Wii U was going to use some form of the AMD E6760 processor.
