I never played Fortnite, i downloaded it to see what the fuss was about since it was free and then was told to make an Epic acount so i immediately proceeded to delete the game
@Ninchiku Yeah, I'm not a fan of needing to give my email, or agreeing to a mountain of legalese to play a game either. I think the legalese contract stems from in-game chat with other people, and the email is to try limiting people from making unlimited online accounts(some online games can be exploited if one user has multple accounts/profiles). I'm not sure there would be as much liablity for Fortnite if you couldn't talk to other players.
Hi everyone. I have an update for any future parents who may find themselves on this thread. I have finally secured a refund from Nintendo. I say finally.. it wasn't that I particularly had to argue my case, it's just that the emailing process on their side was slow. I just outlined exactly what had happened and they gave the company line of purchases being non-refundable etc, but refunded me anyway. I think this shows that they are aware it is something that's tripped a lot of people up. Obviously it is important to add that I hadn't touched the funds that were in my account. Thanks all for your advice
Afraid to say folks its happened to me same thing suckered in to buying £20 credit for my daughter & she cant access the funds. What a shame such a big company has to do this. There must be hundreds even thousands falling for this non refundable clause. Ive emailed nintendo waiting to see their reply
