I knew it was Smash the instant they left Splatoon for another seemingly Splatoon announcement. Reminded me of the Rosalina trailer that tried to throw you off, haha
@Octane not fair, I wanted Pikmin 4 as much as you. I say the one after me
Well I must say, that Direct was pretty phenomenal. I'm surprised at the absence of Fire Emblem, but freaking SMASH BROS was confirmed for Switch this year! And Octopath finally got a release date! Soooo happy
Mario Galaxy is ten years old, and now I feel old.
Over half of the games I have already played on my Wii U or PlayStation 4, but it’s a good Nintendo Direct if you didn’t/don’t have the latter two platforms.
I will definitely get Mario Tennis Aces, that’s for sure!
I am so pumped for Crash, Splatoon 2 Octo DLC, and FLIPPING SMASH SWITCH, it looks like Smash Deluxe and not Smash 5, but regardless of which one it ends up being I am so hyped right now!
The fact that we're getting Octopath Traveler AND Smash Brothers AND Okami AND Dark Souls AND Crash Bandicoot AND a good Mario Sports game all in one year is simply mindboggling.

I have mixed views on the Direct. Some of the announcements were fantastic like Splatoon 2 content, Captain Toad and Smash but I was disappointed that both Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition and Mario Tennis Aces were both after April meaning the only April game so far is Labo.
I thought that "recycle" symbol inside the WiiU game cases indicated that the plastic case was recyclable.
Apparently not - it's the games themselves that were recyclable!!
The only thing that could have been remotely exciting - a new WarioWare - turned out being not just a port but a compilation of ports. Oh my, what a fraud has Nintendo been in the last 3 years.
Ports and cardboard - a sad picture of our times - minimum effort at maximum prices.
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...
I rewatched the Dark Souls part of the Direct and honestly, as someone who played the original game A LOT, it looks more like a port than a remaster...
The floor textures look cleaner, but lacks detail, and the whispy white puff of cloud when the enemy was defeated looked really odd to me, as well as a hint of noticeable slowdown.
I hope the PS4 version is significantly better than this one.
