Only thing I'd really expect out of the investors meeting outside of financial data and updated sales numbers is info on Mario Kart Tour. Maybe an announcement of what IP they plan to use for a mobile game after that. Not anything else.
@IceClimbers I think we'd also see Switch game delays so like Fire Emblem changing from Spring 2019 to 2019 on the release schedule list that comes out of these meetings.
@IceClimbers I haven't given up hope for Odyssey DLC yet because of the Switch news section
But about Fire Emblem, I just don't see it releasing in Spring given the news drought. We've heard absolutely nothing since the E3 reveal, that's not normal if it's still on track.
@Grumblevolcano It's possible, but at the same time they could have a massive dedicated blowout Direct for the game and it still release this spring lol
@JackEatsSparrows Sorry, my bad. Totally meant Daemon Ex Machina. I'd love to see any Deus Ex make it over though.
@DannyBoi Nope! Eshop is a webpage, so it's been changed without maintenance in the past. When they update it, there likely won't be any announcement of downtime.
Let's face it, Directs have become sparser and sparser since Iwata's illness. I suspect they don't really achieve much more than is achieved by releasing information in more segmented fashion. It must be a hassle to try and coordinate a whole bunch of announcements for release at the same time while struggling to avoid leaks. Why bother - there's always a bunch of whingers straight afterwards anyway. Between Twitter, YouTube, the Switch OS news channel and sites like this, everything they announce gets good exposure regardless, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Directs as we once knew them are phased out almost entirely.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
I think the fact that Yoshi's release date was announced earlier this month was a sign that we're not getting a direct for a while. Maybe late Feb? Otherwise they would've held onto that for the Direct. Meaning the Direct is too close to when that releases for them to withhold the info until then. Hence late Feb at the earliest.
@dannyboi Don' be so negative. We already got 2 mainline final fantasy games , dragon's dogma, mortal kombat 11, crash team racing and darksiders 1 confirmed which is already better than last year. And I agree that they should already have done a nintendo direct but just wait and see I think we will still get some great games. https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/01/game_developer_surve...
This survey is very promising and nintendo confirmed that we will get fire emblem three houses this spring. So combined with yoshi we already have 2 new first party games (more than last year) and I supose Daemon X machina is releasing in september if not sooner. The difference between nintendo and sony is that nintendo has weaker third-party support but on the first-party front. We get more games from Nintendo so no its not all doom and gloom we just have to be patient.
@redd214 yep exactly my thoughts. I get that the switch still isn't getting all the support it needs. If we look at february: god eater 3 , jump force and metro exodus should probably be on switch but it's not that we aren't getting anything. We are still getting trials rising and steins gate elite in february. Did people really expect anthem to come to switch... .
