Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

Which week do you think we will get a reveal if the rumor is true?

August could mean monday.

August 32nd with a September 32nd release

@damien33ad I doubt it will be Monday. One theory I’ve heard for why the partners direct came out of nowhere was to minimize anticipation/negative backlash. By announcing it only 12 hours ahead of time and just as the east coast was getting ready for bed meant there wasn’t much room for people to overspeculate like crazy.

I do think we’ll get news before Thursday, but it’ll probably be Monday evening at the absolute earliest.

They often just drop stuff out of nowhere though. They often have done with the Direct Mini's too.

Square Enix said they will reveal new games in July and August. We are in August now and no new game has been announced. Is Square likely to announce something this month?

@Don Balan Wonderland definitely counts as a new game and in some ways Dragon Quest XI S for XB1 could be considered a new game (Square could be meaning "new" as new to the platform). Still, they said announcements in both months so I'm pretty sure there will be announcements this month.

Yeah & new games can't be Bravely Default II, so what else are they planning .... ? (Please let it be SO2E R, thanks)

Interesting. But the 10th would be almost too late to announce a new game for September. What's the second Direct supposed to be? Nintendo wouldn't do two Direct minis in one month, right?

I think we'll see:

• August 3rd - Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase (3rd party)
• August 24th or 25th - Indie World (while digital PAX West and digital EGX merged into a mid-September digital event, digital Gamescom starts August 27th)
• September 3rd - Full Nintendo Direct

@Grumblevolcano I imagine the next Partner Showcase we'll see the release date for DOOM Eternal on Switch. On that note SNK completely went radiosilent about their plans for a Switch/XB1 version of KOF XIV and if P5S is on the way I'd imagine now would be a good time to show some footage since I imagine the english VAs had to have been working on that simultaneously with the English dub of P5 the Animation

So does anyone think we'll get an announcement for something tomorrow?

If the Super Mario 3D remastered collection is happening, when do you guys think it will be announced at the latest?

I hope so. I’m sure most of us want a confirmation at least of whether this game is really coming out. I hope Pokemon Snap 2 gets released this year as well.

@HotGoomba Thanks for asking. My record is four and a half, so I'm hoping I'm ok for a while yet, but the hot weather doesn't help.

I'm so sick of the Mario Remaster rumor at this point. All I want at this point is for some new fake rumor to take its place that actually has room for speculation. Like, remasters are incredibly boring to speculate on, even obviously fake ones.

I dunno, I feel the same way about Metroid Prime Trilogy too for the same reasons. Although at least that one feels slightly plausible.
