Maybe, maybe not, it's hard to say. Between Sushi Striker in 2018 and Brain Training at the end of 2019, it appear as though indiezero needed 15 months to complete two relatively small, new projects. However, NES Remix 1 & 2 are done, and would only require upscaling. I can't imagine that process taking more than a year.
Unless indiezero is working on something else, which is certainly possible.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,538 games (as of January 16th, 2026)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
@octane Its coming when the Switch launches in 2017!, if you can wait that long. Nintendo says the console will have the most reliable analog sticks known to man.
If there is a Direct, I wonder what the spotlight title would be. Bravely Default II was already given spotlight back in March, Paper Mario would be already out if the rumoured date is true (July 20th). Pokemon Sword/Shield perhaps given Fall is approaching?
@Grumblevolcano The only possible options I see is the spotlight would be a brand new game or Zelda. NMH 3 and Bayo 3 aren't big enough to be spotlights (and NMH3 isn't Nintendo published), and Prime 4 isn't likely to be revealed until next E3 at the earliest and SMT V won't be revealed til 2022 at the earliest I wager.
So probably whatever the September title is will get the spotlight if we get a direct this month.
@Slowdive eh, are you kidding, Tokyo Mirage Session and Animal Crossing had already a fix release date, XC DE and Brain Training were already announced at this point when he made the tweet and therefore he just guessed that they would release in the first half and he was absolutly wrong about the remaining 3 (Pikmin 3, MP Trilogy and New style Boutique) since these games haven't even been announced yet
I predict for new IP by Nintendo.
Something underdog but hidden gems such as Dillon's Dead Heat Breakers or Sushi Strikers
I still never heard any user here talked about Dillon's game.
@Slowdive yeah thats what all fake leaker do, claiming that nintendo "delayed it for some reason".
for example: "there will be a direct at the end of february" then at the end of february after the direct didn't happen "oh they must have delayed it for some unknown resson"
Could maybe announce a new Mario Party? But, they will make another Mariokart! I know people want a Pikmin 3 port but I don't like it that much . Super Mario 3DX(3D Deluxe) port. Yep probably gonna have more stuff but just guessing
@MarioBrickLayer Steady on, BotW 2 isn't even close to being released! Breath of the Wild 2 is a direct sequel, which isn't common in Zelda based off the previous twenty or so games.
@MarioBrickLayer Pikmin 4 has been almost complete for years, sooo going by that information I am fully expecting to see the game in the year 2077 which is coincidentally is when the world will be in full cyberpunk mode.

They almost certainly have to open up after Paper Mario releases. They have virtually nothing else to promote by then. I'm inclined to believe we're getting something in July, a Direct, a news drop, we almost have to have some sort of game announcement by that point, especially if Nintendo is telling the truth about their 2020 release schedule being on track.
