Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

If there is a Direct soon I imagine it'll focus on promoting recent releases like smash and the upcoming Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and talk about soon to release titles like Yoshi's Crafted World and maybe the Mario Kart mobile game.

Other then that maybe offical confirmation of the Persona 5 Switch port.

As for surprises maybe another tease or early look at Animal Crossing

Maybe a few surprises for 3DS and 1 surprise for Switch if we're lucky.

That's my guess anyway.

@MarioFan02 I enjoyed reading your post, but it was tainted massively by the 1440p suggestion.

I would enjoy some classic Nintendo trolling by announcing Mario Sunshine for 3DS. Not sure they are keen on putting games that used the analogue triggers though (otherwise why haven't they done more already?).

I swear IF i see The Sims Crystal spinning around, following by very familiar The Sims 4 OST, i can scream Aloud Hysterically when i see an OFFICIAL Announcement of The Sims 4 on Nintendo Switch from the Direct.

I'm Really Really Really waiting for that announcement so bad.

@Whitewatermoose You forgot about Yoshi. That's a Spring release.

My prediction:

February - Wonderful 101
March - Yoshi's Crafted World
April - Tokyo Mirage Sessions
May - Fire Emblem Three Houses

I do not believe that Marvel will be out until June at the very earliest. Just won't be ready for a release even though I'm sure they'd like it to release close to Avengers Endgame.

I think Fire Emblem is more like July/August. The reveal setup is similar to what happened with Yoshi, reveal at E3 and then complete silence since however I don't think the delay will be as long this time. If it was on track for Spring 2019, I think it would've appeared in the September Direct.

I'd be extremely happy with Nintendo announcing a 2d top down zelda coming to switch the first half of the year or even 3rd quarter. And at e3 blowing the doors right off with a botw sequel coming end of 2019 or early to mid 2020. If they can assure mp4 is coming end of 19, I'm sure they can put zelda on the back burner til a few months later to space things out and keep momentum after the holidays

I'm predicting we'll finally see more Fire Emblem and we'll get a few more ports.

They frankly should port Paper Mario Color Splash, that games great and the touchpad stuff is so unneeded.

I can't be bothered to check for precedents, but Animal Crossing seems like the perfect game to release around July for people to while away the summer hols with. With that in my head, I think we'll see more of it soon.

I'm surprised I haven't seen any rumors floating about a direct date. I'm thinking the 14th for some reason. (likely because I'm off that day and wishful thinking). Not looking for much just more Three Houses information. Until that comes out, gaming is dead to me, lol.

Wonder if we'll see a new eShop only 1st party title like Pushmo or Mario vs DK.

I've seen alot of YouTubers indicating Jan 10 is the day. But they're probabaly probably all getting that info from the same source on Twitter or something. Jan 10 actually made sense to me before they were even floating that date around

@IceClimbers oh good call. I would love another pushmo. I've been afraid that it died on the Wiiu.

@Whitewatermoose heh, guess I missed that. Welp whenever it shows, it shows...but I will admit I'm getting giddy... even if I'm still drowning in backlog. Well perhaps there will be a benefit to having to work less hours for a little while.

@Whitewatermoose You think Samus Returns did well enough for 2D Metroid not to be put on hiatus?

@Whitewatermoose Wouldn't surprise me if that's true as those kinds of releases have been pretty much completely absent on Switch so far outside of Snipperclips and Pokemon Quest.

It didn't do that well at all. Only sold about half a million. Much less than what it deserved. That was pretty much the best anything except Pokemon did that close to the end of the 3DS lifespan though. The last Fire Emblem was the same.

@Whitewatermoose While a new 2D Metroid would be great, deconfirming MP4 would be a huge mistake.

or they could just remaster (with the right graphics) super metroid cause thats what everyone would want. but idk I think it'd lose its feel too easily if done wrong

Super Metroid already has the right graphics.

@Jarester I was referring to this comment. While a new or remade 2D Metroid would be great, making a new Metroid trilogy instead of Metroid Prime 4 would be a disaster. This is because of the hype around the Prime series, which fans have been waiting over a decade for a new installment.
