@Grumblevolcano I guess, but I wouldn’t discount them bringing it up in a potential direct. People forget they announced those two given the general hype for the Switch 2.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
I hope the Direct will shadow drop some retro games from Nintendo Classics subscription. My Gamecube NSO controller is sitting by the TV collecting dust.
@VoidofLight If it's a general Direct then sure, there's a chance those 2 Switch 1 games could appear. It does feel like Partner Showcase though between how Nintendo's approached 1st party news over the past 2 months, the timing of the Pokemon Presents (2 weeks earlier than normal) and that a general Direct now would have the potential to overshadow DK Bananza.
What are people's predictions for the Nintendo financial meeting this week? I suppose it only goes until the end of June, but we'll at least see exact numbers for Mario Kart World in June.
@FishyS Over 5 million Switch 2s, ~1 million Switch 1s. Switch will surpass DS during this quarter (July - September) to be Nintendo's best selling system ever, something they might make note of during the investors meeting.
@FishyS XCX Definitive Edition and Welcome Tour pass 1 million sales, Mario Kart World has about a 90% attach rate (like if Switch 2 sold 5 million then World sold around 4.5 million).
What I predict: the Anti-Mario Kart World League complaining and going into shock about how many copies the game sells 🤣.

Well I guess tomorrow is the day we see if something is happening. I think we'll see an announcement personally. I think Nate knows what he's talking about.
@OctolingKing13 Partner Showcase, yes. If there was a general Direct this week however, I think they would've saved Mario Paint for it because the game is a fantastic showpiece for mouse mode.
If there is no Direct this week, are they possibly waiting to make a Mario 40th anniversary Direct for September and then release a regular Direct in October?
Yeah I'm still calling Partner Showcase with Kirby Air Riders and Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment also included.
Then in early August we get a Prime 4 Direct after they make everyone freak out thinking it'll get delayed.
September Direct will be a general Direct, with a segment dedicated to Mario's 40th anniversary (with the smaller stuff they're doing announced outside the Direct).
