Honestly if there's a new system reveal soon, I wouldn't put it past them to do a direct that only talks about it and the games coming out for it, sorta like the switch presentation in January 2017.

@gcunit@Grumblevolcano This has happened before, the week before Zelda released and after those apparent leaks from the production line went viral. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were real quiet until late in the day when a couple of random tweets or retweets came out then nothing else.

@FragRed The good old times of looking to the Walmart Canada Gaming twitter account for the tease about when the next MK8 Deluxe DLC is. It would be really funny (and fantastic) if a secret wave 7 happened featuring even more MKWii tracks.
@VoidofLight Ah didn’t realise that was the reason. It seems odd for Nintendo to go dark over such a thing as they have sued plenty of times before and no doubt will continue to do so. Though I think the timing did do a lot to overload an already excitable internet.
They have uploaded one video onto YouTube today but not on Twitter. Don’t know if there’s usually any correlation between the two. But still I think it’s all nothing and just meetings or something of no connection to Switch 2 reveal going on behind the scenes.

@FragRed The week after Jamboree is possible, albeit unlikely.
At this point I think it's not happening this year though, and we'll see it in January. I'm thinking January reveal presentation, February marketing campaign launch, April release. Not dissimilar to Switch, just has the October initial reveal and the January presentation combined.
@IceClimbers Won’t be January because it’s too soon after the holidays and Nintendo has one known dated game releasing that month, albeit it’s a remaster.

@FragRed Ehh I doubt it's a meeting. Usually Nintendo never skips a day of tweeting unless they're trying to stay silent on intention. The Palworld lawsuit was announced on the Japanese and American official twitter accounts, which is most likely why they ended up going silent for the majority of that day.

@VoidofLight Well, today they were super late and it’s basically to say a demo for Mario Party is going to be available at certain retailers, which is kinda bizarre.

I've veered away from Twitter, but Grumble's commentary has lured me back in tonight. Just went to the search page and I saw 'Iwata' was trending in the UK. My heart fluttered for a moment - wouldn't particularly expect to see Iwata getting much prominence in the UK at this point in time, unless... unless there's just been an announcement and somehow Iwata's legacy is linked... - clicked the link - turns out Tomoki Iwata has scored for Birmingham City against Shrewsbury in the mighty Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
I need a distraction.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@gcunit I did a double take when I saw a correspondent for The Daily Show named Troy Iwata. But yeah, just looked it up and neither of them seem to have any relation to Satoru Iwata.
