@Grumblevolcano If not this, then a mini Direct this month or next and a big one as usual in June. It would be strange going without any new 1st party games in April and May.
@Grumblevolcano Was just about to post the same thing, only I was thinking more like May as I’m not expecting anything to release before June anyway, first party wise. And for something like Xenoblade Chronicles they can just release a trailer on social media. No need for a Direct for that announcement.

@Santa Acording to the source that was mentioned in the Nintendo life article, there would be a n indie world on the 18th and a general direct on the 26th. after all the other"credible leaks" I don't believe it.
Eugh well I hope these rumours aren't true. I can't be bothered to wait more than 2 weeks until a Direct. And I don't care about indies. I can play those on PC.
@Grumblevolcano Yeah that would be fine with me. Anyones guess is as good as mine when it comes to the time period the next full direct will be announced. I thought this week we were surely due. There still a lot of March left and so we may be likely to have one at the end.
I think there is a kind of fan resentment that can grow when Nintendo doesn’t do what you want. The reason why I’m a fan is that I trust they know what’s best (except perhaps for the underwhelming online service 🤨) and when the direct comes, it comes and it’ll be worth it.
If two good directs land in early Spring and sometime in Autumn this year, I’d be more than okay with that.
Alright! It seems like we either get an announcement today...or we hope that the leaks are true and we get a Direct on the 18th.
I do think that doing an Indie World first would be a VERY bold choice, considering how much people are clamoring for a full direct.
As far as E3, I think it will still "feel" fairly normal, just without the physical event. A lot of companies likely planned on E3 for announcements when planning out their year and it might be getting too late to change that.
If it is 2 weeks away, that was a bit of a massive fumble by GAME putting that Lego thing up where it says it was announced in the Direct. Did they think no-one would notice it for over 2 weeks?
I'd assumed that it meant it was definitely this week, and they were just hoping 2 days would pass without anyone noticing the description.
@Dezzy The person who wrote that description likely doesn’t get paid enough or treated well enough within the job to care, hence why we see things like this happen and why leaks happen so often.

@Dezzy At worst case scenario, the GAME thing mentioning Direct could've just been an assumption that the Lego tease revealed on social media would be a Direct reveal because Nintendo 2020 is currently looking to be a desert with no oasis after Animal Crossing in 9 days.
