Topic: new update broke eshop?

im a south african resident trying to buy from the eshop. before the update i bought zelda and pokemon as i got my switch as a christmas present. but now it wont even let me buy anything. not on the online eshop nor on the switches eshop. it keeps giving me an error saying this card cannot be used. and ive tried 3 different cards from 3 different banks and two other credit cards. please help. and no its not the region one. its just saying i cant use the card

You have to contact Nintendo eShop and ask them otherwise you have to contact your card issuer and ask them about the problem. This is a common problem when using a card for buying outside the Region it is issued for.

@Retsukki If you haven't already, you can take a look through these Nintendo Support results for "can't use credit card". A couple entries may be relevant.
