So, I'm new to Nintendo life, been on PS for years, but now decided I am more mobile and traveling so this should suit me better. The thing is I haven't bought a Nintendo yet, because everyone on Ebay is buying left and right at a premium, Christmas coming and that crap 😅, but I already created an account, on the official website of Nintendo so I can access some deals. Basically what I'm asking is, can I buy some good games on 80% discount before having my ACTUAL Nintendo switch? And then just adding my account on the switch when I'll buy it, and just download the games that I've previously bought ?
Thank you peps !
Yes, if you have a Nintendo account setup - you can buy ahead of time and when you load your account on the Switch it should start the download process. But if you want Cloud saves you will have buy a subscription for Individual or Family Plan to have this save option.
@Edyrem you should be able to buy as many titles as you want by using the digital store on Nintendo’s website, they’ll be there waiting for you on the eShop in your future Switch.
And of course, nothing stops you from buying physical games beforehand as well.
Thank you for your answers people, I managed today to acquire my Nintendo 😁
But I can't login with my account because it was setup on my phone actually and it gives this error after I put the code and everything in:
" You cannot add a user because you have signed in to a Nintendo Account that has not been used on a Nintendo Switch console before.
Confirm the Nintendo Account you are using on the other console, then try again. "
What am I doing wrong... ?
Do I actually need to open a new account from scratch on this Nintendo?
@@WoomyNNYes I tried that but the problem is that it's a brand new Nintendo, so I can't bypass the setup in order to go to home and do those steps. I HAVE to import and account or create a new one, and then I think I will be able to follow those steps mentioned.
Congrats on getting a Nintendo Switch, here's hoping you get several hundred hours of enjoyment out of it. If you don't mind me asking @Edyrem, which games did you get off of the eshop for your new Switch?
Thank you @Lony85, I will mainly use it on my flights, because I travel couple of time in a year.
Well, about the games, I downloaded only couple of free ones, can't tell you exactly which ones now because I'm in work, but I paid for Metro Redux, because I haven't played it and it's on discount. But I'm looking to get also Zelda, the last one, and Hades for now. I was looking at Mario, like the whole Mario universe games, but I don't think it's my type. I am more into RPG and adventure. But I want to get them physical ones, because they hold their value, I've seen...
And also looking at Oni and Okami and Monster Hunter Rise, but maybe I get them digital on discount.
Oh and another thing, what SD card you boys recommend, because I've seen on Nintendo store they're on double price 🙄 compared to the actual market price. So for example, do you think 128gb is enough for a casula gamer like me, and also what other specs should I look at when buying one... ?
Thanks 👍
@Edyrem Like Eel said, 128GB is a good start. As for what to look for, it's best to stick to name brands like SanDisk. There are branded Nintendo SD cards, but its the same card, just painted and with a 25% higher price.
Word of advice, use Deku Deals to look for games, rather than the eShop app.
Lastly, get a Nintendo Switch Online Membership. Other than getting to play online, the cloud backup saves is a must if you're traveling a lot. Finally, you get to access a whole much of NES, SNES, Gameboy, and Gameboy Color games. Mostly the SNES ones, as those still hold up the best.
Thank you @NatiaAdamo and @Eel for your insights. Well I'm already scooping DekuDeals and adding games on my wishlist with certain discount notifications, and it's amazing yes 😁.
About the Nintendo Online subscription... I will think about it.
But can't I just save on my Nintendo and access my saves from there, or it must be saved on the cloud... ? Sorry I don't see the idea behind saving on the cloud...
@Eel oh that's fine, I might do it later when I actually have what to lose 😆. I downloaded couple of demos and still haven't had time to try them. So I'll be fine for now without the membership. Thanks anyway for the info 💪
@Edyrem Off the top of my head there is Vampyr, the three BloodRayne games (1, 2 and Betrayal: Fresh Bites), and the two Vampire the Masquerade games (Coteries of New York and Shadows of New York).
