Hi, I have just bought a used Nintendo switch. The previous account holder had a download of Mario Kart and I'm trying to retrieve it. I have the old owners email address, account password and username. How do I go about it in an easy way, I'mnot very tech savvy.
Any help would be great as my boys keep nagging to play it.

Unless you specifically came to an agreement with the old owner that you would get his account, it is illegal to do what you are asking about. If you did come to an agreement, just contact him/her so the email can be changed.
@TheShadow Search 'Nintendo Account' on a search engine. Then log in to the account using the details the seller gave you, then you should be able to change what you need to from there.

You have two options:
If the old profle is still there, you need to go into the account settings in the eshop to redownload it. If the icon is already on the home menu, click it to re-download it.
If there is written agreements with the seller we can't help. Just buy the eshop since that is connect to their account. Nintendo will not help you access another user account you will be force to reset and start new.
