hi so I have a huge problem. My wired controller will not work. I have tried everything I know and can by turning on the pro controller wired communication, putting the usb in the 3 holes of the dock and putting the usb in my controller, resetting, pairing new controllers but nothing ever seems to work. My controller has this thing where it has a small light circle that tells me its connected, and it has been off since the past 1 hour. All of this started because I moved a single thing and it suddenly just turned off. Ive tried undoing what I did by accident but it hasnt worked. I cannot find anything that solves this problem. If anyone has had the same problem and fixed it please tell me how to fix it!
@precuree Have you tried resetting the AC adapter and hard rebooting the console? Nintendo may call it a "hard reset" actually. (hold power button for 11 seconds or something like that, and it does a more thorough reboot. EDIT, actually Nintendo support page says hold the power button for 20 seconds these days, perhaps firmware has changed. It wasn't always 20 seconds)
Reset AC adapter = completely unplug the AC adapter & the dock for 30 seconds. This is a common step for resolving an array of weird things, like Switch won't display on tv.
If you've tried troubleshooting on Nintendo Support's page, then you may want to contact Nintendo support, or the support for the company that made the controller. When Nintendo Support page troubleshooting directions can't solve an issue, it may indicate hardware failure somewhere. If other controllers connect fine, it's probably the controller.
