I purchased a 128Gb microSD card for our switch that worked right away and has been working for six months without issue. It is not recognized now by the console. I've tried cleaning, powering down, removing and installing, but still nothing. Can't even recognize to reformat it. The console software is updated.

Hopefully your Switch's card reader isn't damaged.

Have you tried using a different micro sd card?

@JSquared1970 Sometimes microSD cards go bad.

On rare occasion, I've seen about one person a year here have a card reader go bad.

If you already tried cleaning and troubleshooting, then try inserting another MicroSD card on your Nintendo switch. If the other micro sd works, then your 128gb microSD card is the problem. If it still doesn't work, then your card reader might be damaged.

Game on. 🤘 Rock on. 🎸
