I also loved this game!
In the mean time while we wait for a sequel.
I restarted the game and only used the basic weapons that u start with. I completed the entire game without changing guns, this does make the game much harder towards the end and you will find that you completely change your strategy to be able to get through it.
See how you go.
Again, I loved it!

I love this game but stopped playing due to moving on to other games (too big a backlog!) so I think i'll start it up again soon. Really hope they do a sequel. Ubisoft has just released Fenix Rising and they always bring out Just Dance games so they're working with Nintendo, although you might mean as a collaboration

This summer it will be 4 years since the first Mario + Rabbids came out. The first game only took 3 years to make. So what is holding back the release of the sequel, since they can probably reuse many assets and ideas from the first game? Is it only because of COVID?

@dionysos283 or there just isn't a sequel. They did DLC and not every game needs a sequel, especially a crossover one which is normally a one time deal.

I hope there’s a sequel. It’s in my top three switch games easily. The dlc wasn’t very balanced so wasn’t very good. Anyways a sequel would be great. Maybe all donkey Kong this time with Mario levels as dlc.

@jump
That's definitely a possibility.
But the game's director, Davide Soliani, is constantly talking about Mario + Rabbids on Twitter and it seems like he's still working together with Grant Kirkhope for his next game. Ubisoft also once did a survey asking fans what they would want from a sequel.
