It's evident they did work a bit on the games, since 64 is clearly using new sprites for some of the textures from the original (like those on Mario's model). Guess we'll have to wait and see how much work they've put in these ports.
@Octane Sheesh. Guess I'll have to bring my own tortillas with me if I ever visit Europe.
I am pretty pumped for this collection. Havent played 64 in quite a few years. Never played sunshine. And only played a lil of galaxy back when it came out. 60 for these 3 games is solid. Adding G2 wouldve been nice sure, but 2 weeks away and im getting to play these games is such a cool feeling.
It’s a good collection if you haven’t played them. I got these on the Wii u.
Super Mario 64 cost me 99p
Super Mario Galaxy was 9.99p
Super Mario Galaxy 2 was 9.99p
These were day 1 discount prices on Wii u.
Also sunshine but that was through Nintendont
@Sunsy@Eel Yep I also suggested it could be an unlockable some pages ago. To leave Super Mario Galaxy 2 out is the weirdest thing ever. @Slowdive Yes, of course they could have included it and they should have. @LetsaGO Why didn't they use the 35 price tag? They used the 35 number for everything else.
Cool collection. I'll definitely grab it. I haven't spend enough time on 64 because my N64 wasn't working properly when I got it. Never played Sunshine since I never owned a GC. I have played Galaxy quite a lot, but I've been really eager to play some more. A few months ago, right before the rumors started, I considered buying a Wii (U) for it but I didn't want to hook up an extra console.
I'm a bit disappointed though that Galaxy 2 isn't included. That one's still very high up on my list. My Wii days were already over when that released (university's a ...).
Compare the value of money of this collection to the value of Halo:MCC. It's absolutely insane.
And Rare Replay which cost 30 because it was the 30th anniversary, couldn't Nintendo have charged 35 because of the 35th anniversary and included Super Mario Galaxy 2?
@BlueOcean While that's true... I'm pretty sure MCC and Rare Replay are both clearly underpriced. Like, those are definitely significantly more valuable than Microsoft is charging. They're basically giving away content to incentivize hardware sales at that point.
Rare Replay was incredibly lazy when it was put together, they required loads of updates and are treated as separate games.
That's not true. Some games have the frame rate improved, especially Grabbed by the Ghoulies (30 to 60 FPS). The native resolution was improved for all games, the patch was for the 4K resolution update after Xbox One X was released. They released a patch for improving Jet Force Gemini controls because it was a fan request, yes, and I'm happy they did. The 360 games are presented and launched inside the game as any other but are stored separately because they make use of the backwards compatibility technology. It's how the 360 emulation works on Xbox One and it doesn't bother anyone as it's the only way that Xbox One can run 360 games better than the original hardware.
@link3710 Yep but Nintendo is wearing long-time fans out with this c***. I'm more annoyed by the lack of Super Mario Galaxy 2, though. It was even omitted in the "Mario medley" LOL.
i'm loving this collection and definitely getting it next month. but, why does the game need to be limited? unless they are planning to release N64, Gamecube, and Wii games to NSO. i can't see this making any seance at all.
that my only issue, i'm getting it because of how pricey Super Mario Sunshine is currently, i already own Super Mario 64, and my Wii disc of Super Mario Galaxy doesn't work. so it's pretty tempting to buy with the current price. and since Super Mario Galaxy 2 isn't part of this collection (for some odd reason...) i'm gonna pick that up for Wii again instead.

@BlueOcean It'll be interesting seeing Rare Replay run on Series X. I feel the setup of using the 360 backwards compatibility versions hindered the collection but that being more a hardware thing like loading up the 360 games via Rare Replay closes the collection. Quick resume for multiple games on Series X should technically make Rare Replay a better experience.
Rare Replay was, actually, the first time that backwards compatibility was available to players. It was an engineer miracle to run 360 games on Xbox One better than on the original hardware because of the different architecture. When they started, it wasn't flawless but they managed to get games running optimally, famous cases were Halo Reach and Nuts & Bolts, and they even added 4K resolution on Xbox One X. What it's true is that The Master Chief Collection had glitches and multiplayer issues until they fixed them.
@Grumblevolcano The 360 games don't take long to load on Xbox One so I guess that the Quick Resume feature will be useful for people that like playing several games at the same time like it was shown in the demo.
I've got this pre-ordered through Amazon. I think I'll end up enjoying Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy more on the Switch thanks to the Switch's media features. Being able to play both and not be limited to the TV will be great as well. The collection isn't ideal, Super Mario 64 DS and Super Mario Galaxy 2 are missing, but at least two of these games are great to incredible (original 64 is just good). I'm looking forward to the collection in a couple weeks.

@Slowdive They're the richest people in Japan and yet this collection of "remasters" is so disappointing. Why didn't they hire a studio to remaster the games properly? Why didn't they include Super Mario Galaxy 2? It's like they're making fun of us, "You're just making us richer ha ha ha".
