@Dezzy It's not, most of the time. In 1, 2, Switch, it's used to track the opening and closing of the mouth during an imaginary food eating minigame. In RER, the sensor seems to react to the proximity warm flesh when determining if the motion for reloading is pulled off right. In Ring Fit Adventure, you can press it against your thumb, I believe, to track your heartrate after an exercise. Its primary use so far seems to be with Labo.
Cool tech, but probably most people who opted for the Switch Lite don't even notice it's absence.

That's often the story with Nintendo really. No matter what hardware gimmicks they try to sell us on, most games always just default back to the standard 2 analog sticks and buttons setup.
@Dezzy It all comes down to whether things are forced, if it wasn't for lots of Wii U stuff forcing Gamepad usage I'd imagine gyro controls on Switch would be about as rare as it is on PS4 (i.e. the tech exists but is very rarely used).
On another note, it seems Gamestop are cancelling 3D All Stars preorders due to limited stock.
I've never used gyro once on the PS4. I didn't even realize the controller did that until I used it with the adapter on the Switch. Breath of the Wild was the first time I ever used the gyro in the Ps4 controller.
@Dezzy Infamous Second Son had mandatory gyro sections, that's pretty much one of the first games I played. Days Gone and TLOU 2 have gyro controls as well, pretty underrated.
I just had an email from Game about this .... It's 'being packed'! Dunno if they still have stock available to pre-order or if there'll be any left to go on shelves on release day, though
I’ll supposedly get it this Friday, but amazon hasn’t begun sending it yet, so I’m not exactly positive about their predictions... Considering how slow shipping to this place usually is.
Plenty of GameCube games hold up really well. The main problem is their low resolution. Just look at something like Skyward Sword on the Wii, the hardware is holding the back the game a lot.
It's embarrassing that Mario 64 still has the crappy camera system. Now you have a second analogue stick to control the camera and only get 45° increments...
@link3710@MarioLover92@Apportal Wooded I agree that Wooded Kingdom, Lake Kingdom and Seaside Kingdom are all delightful in terms of visuals. Each world in this game is unique and nothing bad to say about the graphics, the graphics are no issue in this game but general speaking, I think that the soundtrack is mediocre and, of course, the dull gameplay. Ruined Kingdom is a missed opportunity and although I don't like Metro Kingdom as a Mario theme, some of the most interesting gameplay parts are found in there and in Sand Kingdom.
