Oh that would be bad. Never played the original on n64.

From what I remember, OoT aimed for about 20-25fps as its top speed.

I’m not sure which.

Edit: it was apparently a consistent 20fps.

The internet says Mario 64 went between 20 and 30fps.

I have played Super Mario 64 since like 1998 or so, the original N64 version seems to run at a consistent framerate of 30 frames per second. It's one of the better-performing games on the console from my experience. The Wii VC version ran just as well, too.

As far as I know it was pretty hard to pre-order in Holland (my country). I waited a week or so, and then I found a shop who had pre-orders. Then I jumped right in.

@1UP_MARIO Yeah, I think it's just a PAL thing. I'm sure the SM3DAS version of the game will run at 30 FPS regardless of what region you're in. Last I checked, PAL 50Hz only applies to older consoles in European countries.

I received an email from Amazon saying that it won't be delivered at launch date. Why? Because, apparently, that's for pre-orders and yes, mine is a pre-order. So what the f...?

@darthcervantes I’m so sorry man. That’s part of the reasons I decided not to get physical, having to deal with crappy like this.

This isn’t Rocket Science game stop. The people who pre-ordered the game first, GET THE GAME. And if you can’t get it to them, don’t say you can and then cancel it later That makes it 10x worse.

@Apportal Tbh given how short notice the announcement was (which was to retailers too, not just the public) I'm surprised there's not more problems with this.

@jump there probably is behind the scenes. Wouldn’t surprise me if someone made a news article on it shortly.
