I think the menu for 3d all stars sucks all we get is a photoshop looking cover and a photoshop looking menu screen. With that out of the way I cant wait to play 3d all stars just wish it wasn't so lazy, and I have not played any of the games in this collection just galaxy 2.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

@Eel How DARE you, you slimy Eel! At least I can say I was the third commenter on the funny number.
Anywho, i like the menu. Clean, classic, and unique style. Takes a while to get used too but still nice nonetheless. What do you mean by “photoshop” @Snatcher? This is far from photoshop, and looks incredibly professional. The font, picture choice, menu screen are all very clean and masterful.
@Snatcher Sure it’s not exactly “colorful” but still pretty nonetheless. Calling it bland is taking it too far tho. There’s a difference between “bland” and “simple”. This is more like simple. This is bland:
Someone asked about the issues of Sunshine, and I replied, but I was giving some more thought to it, and I realized that my central issue with the game truly is it's progression system.
For those who don't know, in order to unlock the final boss, you must get to the 7th mission in each of the game's worlds. This has several implications for the game.
1. Given that, A, there are only 7 worlds, and B, you can only collect a shine in its designated mission, this makes it entirely possible to get locked into a situation where every mission for progression isn't fun. Not a fan of the secret missions? Well tough luck, because there are two in every world. Red coins not your thing? Well better make them your thing if you want to play the ending. More on those two things in particular at the end***
2. It makes all the extra missions in delfino plaza, and all the blue coins useless unless you are going for 100%. Both of these are INFURIATING if you are going for 100%, but if the game took the same approach as 64, Galaxy, and Odyssey and let you unlock the boss if you get enough stars, they just feel like bonuses. Delfino Plaza is possibly one of the greatest hub worlds ever created for a platformer, but exploring literally does nothing
3. If your only route to the final boss is through the main missions, and there are only 7 to them, you better get used to those 7 locations. It just hurts the variety quite a bit IMO.
***While these don't have to do with progression directly, they are still issues I have with Sunshine that really hurt the experience for me. The secret missions can be fun, but not if you keep getting booted out of the level and have to reopen the secret EVERY TIME YOU GAME OVER. Sunshine is pretty stingy with lives, so this just gets frustrating real fast. As far as the red coin missions go, it's another side effect of their choice not to allow you to collect shines outside the selected mission. In 64, as you go through a level, you get the chance to mentally note where you have seen red coins, so that when you get a red coin level, it's a test of what you remember. In Sunshine, it's a tedious isolated scavenger hunt in a level you are already familiar with.
As a result of all of these small things, Sunshine can get infuriating for gamers like me with very little patients. However, for those who have not played it, I want to reiterate that there are some genuinely brilliant levels and really rich mechanics.
Not quite SMG2's version, I don't think. This one sounds much lighter in tone (I wanna say it's higher pitch but I'm not quite sure that's what it is). Below is SMG2's version, which is just a tad bit different.
Gosh, they do sound quite similar though, don't they?
@iKhan As much as I'm a fan of the game, I do agree. I think it would've helped if the criteria to unlock Corona Mountain (yeah, I've only noticed it now I'm typing it out lol) is 60 shine sprites for example. That way you can do it in whatever order you like, but I guess since each level follows a story-progression to track down Bowser Jr., I can see why they did it this way. Also, collecting shine sprites in Delfino Plaza does help you unlock other worlds sooner, and the nozzles for example. That's... something!
@Dezzy DLC for a limited-time game doesn't make any sense if you ask me.
Sure it does. They'd just have it as either DLC within the game for people who own it, or as a standalone for people who don't. That's literally what they did with the Xenoblade 2 expansion.
