Square Enix are really pushing the Dragon Quest franchise onto the console for some reason, but not Final Fantasy? What's the deal with that? Is it just because Nintendo were usually publishing many of the games in the series outside of Japan? Anyway, adding Dragon Quest Builders as semi-confirmed considering the strong evidence.

For those who wants BC (Backwards Compatible) you guys need to understand that PowerPC (The architecture of The Gamecube, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Wii U) is no longer "modern" and it's no longer used by most developers. These days they prefer X86 or even ARM architecture as the new standard. So for Nintendo they have no choice but to cut their PowerPC console legacy and make what the industry consider the newest standard. Maybe in a few years they can make a Wii U emulator built in the NX like what Microsoft did with XB1 to play Xbox 360 games. But for now they have to get as many software makers as possible onboard with their newest console otherwise expect another Wii U hardware sale disaster.
@Therad Has it been confirmed that Pikmin 4 is what was shown for the 3DS? I'd say it looks more like a spin off rather than a proper numbered sequel. It's just called Pikmin as a tentative title not Pikmin 4.

I'm sorry, but I'm confused with your so-called "rumour". There is nothing that Iga said is suggesting the game is coming to Nintendo's next console. Rather, all he is saying that the prospect of making a Wii U version is looking much dimmer nowadays with the game now coming in 2018 overall. Even if the developers officially announce canceling the Wii U version, it does not mean they moved development to another Nintendo console, especially not at this point in time when we don't know anything about it, and neither does a lot of other small developers.
Why the heck is everyone assuming the game is coming to Nintendo's next console? That's stupid and causes a lot of ruckus and false expectations. Additionally, I made it clear that if it is not explicitly mentioned, it shall not be added to the list. For example, Two Tribes did explicitly say if RIVE's development on the Wii U does not work out, it will be moved to Nintendo's next console. Iga has said no such thing in the interview with IGN.

@DefHalan If those were tech demos I doubt Nintendo would have mixed in Breath of the Wild or even Skyrim to promote. These are all Switch games being worked on. It wouldn't make sense to present tech demos at this point. This would only lead to doubt and disappointment.
@SKTTR We saw plenty of games on Wii U that never came. I am going to wait for real confirmation. I think these games will eventually come to the system but I am waiting for confirmation, so I know what products the system will have.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
