@subpopz it truly is a great collection. Possibly the best yet on switch. I like it better than the mega man legacy collection 1 ( you may not agree with me though based off your avatar lol). The myriad of games ( not just nes ones, but genesis and gameboy, plus kid dracula) makes it a STEAL for $20. For the price it may be the best bang for your buck on switch. Now if others can follow suit, including Nintendo themselves id be a happy camper
just bought it myself. Contra will be good too. i wish symphony of the night was included. I hope they at least remaster it for switch or steam. that would be awesome..
@NintendoByNature@subpopz It would be a bad collection in terms of game choices if more weren't incoming, it doesn't do a good job of representing the franchise as whole but it does a fantastic job of representing the pre-Metroidvania era. Whether Sony's bought their way into keeping Rondo of Blood and SOTN away from a multiplatform Metroidvania era collection is yet to be seen.
Much improved collection compared to the Arcade Collection, including display options, even some special ones for the Game Boy games and accurate emulation. My only few gripes is that there is no standard 4:3 upscaling, scanlines only and lack of button mapping. Oh, and Castlvania: The Adventure is not good but they all cannot be winners I guess. I also heard Konami is going to patch the Collection with JP versions of certain titles which I would consider a bonus. I wonder if Konami is going to include the original version of Kid Dracula considering they edited the game for this re-release.
I just want save states. It's so baffling that Konami didn't even think to include them at launch. Other than that The Castlevania Collection is really solid
