Kingdom Come Deliverance just got announced for Switch. What’s even more interesting maybe, is the Switch used in the screen on Twitter.

Thank you for sharing this. Upon seeing your avatar, however, I felt compelled to say this...

Cool.

More open world wrpgs on Switch can only be a good thing.

Looks like they just laid an image over the entire glass area, instead of the screen itself (basically the area a screen protector covers).

@Shadowthrone yeah, probably. On the other hand, I don’t think Kingdome come will run on the OG Switch. I do think it’s more demanding than for example Witcher 3.

@Slowdive hm, you’re probably right, but I’m not sure if this will be cross-switch, because I think that KCD will not run on OG switch. It’s not comparable with Witcher 3 for example. I own both games on PC and KCD was definitely a lot heavier for my system. Witcher 3 ran on switch just fine, don’t get me wrong, but this one will be a good challenge for the developer.

On the other hand, Nintendo generally don’t release games exclusive to an upgraded console/handheld.

Ah we’ll see what happens. Fun to speculate 🙂

I wonder how the port for this is coming along?

I know Saber Interactive is on the case, so the port will be quality.

But this game was a janky buggy mess on other platforms to begin with.

I played some on PC with KB/M as I'm trying to get proficient with that input method, and it was... different.

Very granular in terms of things you can do. Conversations and persuasion, or the lack thereof, can result in a fist fight, where you have jab, hook, grapple, kick, block, etc. It's a lot to absorb, especially if you're not familiar with the input method you're using. Probably easier with a controller
