Topic: Joycon-safe Stickers?

Has anyone had any issues with putting "regular" stickers on their joycons and taking them off without damage? I read about dbrand's switch skin issue and how they warned against using adhesives of any kind on your console, but I'm curious to know if that applies to "regular" stickers. By regular stickers I mean something you might find at a bookstore or on a skateboard.

You can use skins now.

@Trajan I'm not interested in using skins. I just want to put stickers on my joycons so that I don't get them mixed up with others' when I bring them around. I know dbrand worked with 3M to come up with a better adhesive, but I don't know exactly what kind of adhesives are safe or unsafe.

you could just put yours in silicon grips, or put an empty keyring on the straps.
i'd imagine stickers at a dollar store have pretty weak adhesive, though. something like stars or dots.

I would say cheap stickers would peel of the paint, skins from good manufacturers were peeling the paint off at first too until they figured it out

Something about the joycon finish is unique so I would be careful what you use

I would say no stickers unless they are professional painted to stay. I just keep the stickers as a bonus and that is all I will do with them.

@ValhallaOutcast Joycons are not painted. Plastics are molded with the color consistent through them.
