Title is pretty much the question. But if you got a pro controller is the power A enhanced worth it for Splatoon 2 etc I like the idea of the extra buttons on the back to map

That depends do you need NFC and Rumble or don't need to use a dongle then you will need the Pro controllers. Otherwise your free to choose what controllers you want to use with it. I would think for Splatoon for my limited play the Pro controller when my nephew used it worked without issue playing Splatoon. So it will depend what are you expecting to have for extra control with the Enhanced Power A needs.

My idea was to map say jump to one of the back buttons that way I can shoot& jump without having to take my finger off of the controller and when playing MHR I could map one of the back buttons to something like dodge.

And I already use the Hori split pads when in handheld so I don't mind losing rumble too much

Well if that's your plan then that should work. But make sure to check their web site so you know their setup if that's what you want it to do before buying it.

I've been using the PC version and I really enjoy it. However, I found that I was really clumsy with the buttons on the back, so I stopped using those. Still a solid replacement for my 8 year old 360 controller!

Sorry guys I meant the power A fusion pro controller ( the ones with the paddles on the back)

@Jrpglover The PowerA Fusion is $99. Nintendolife and Spawn Wave both did reviews of it. Seems over priced. The Switch pro controller is $70 right now at most places (US). I really wanted the PowerA Fusion to be a great alternative to the Pro Controller, but to me, it looks like a downgrade. - my opnion. I welcome anyone to counter that. I would love a pro controller alternative of equal or better quality(durabiltiy).

Alex found the paddles too easy to bump/push, and took the paddles off.(pasted video to play at relevant timestamp)

Spawn Wave points out the 8bitdo Pro 2 is likely a better option (and I think this may be the best Switch Pro Controller alternative on the market). And it has rumble, and it's half the price of the $99 PowerA Fusion.

@Jrpglover PowerA Enhanced Switch controller also does not have a rechargeable battery. It runs off AA batteries. (that part I didn't know, till just now)

@Suburbs You put rechargeable AA's in it, or it came with a rechargeable battery(mobile style)?

It has no visible batteries or option to use AA. It’s the same as a pro controller pretty much
