Topic: Is Chinese Language Support Coming to Nintendo Switch Soon?

I have noticed some evidence that Nintendo might be planning to add native support for the Chinese language on the Nintendo Switch, and possibly even relatively soon! If this is true, the Nintendo Switch will be Nintendo's first home console to have native support for the Chinese language.

(The iQue Player was a plug-and-play device released in 2003, which emulated a console originally released in 1996. It does not count!)

Flip Wars, a Nintendo-published title, was released in Europe and Australia earlier this month, and is coming to North America next month. I was checking the game's page on Nintendo UK's website, and according to the overview the game includes the usual culprits as its languages: Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, and English. This is all fine and dandy, as we all know the region-free Nintendo Switch supports these languages since day one.

However, keep in mind the Nintendo Switch was also officially released in Hong Kong, a Chinese territory, on the same day as the rest of the world, yet it is strange the console did not come with native Chinese support. To this day, Nintendo Hong Kong have been importing Switch games directly from Japan, but I digress.

For some reason, I decided to look up Flip Wars on the Japanese website. The game has been available in Japan since May under the title "Battle Sports Mekuru". I check out the details on Nintendo Co., Ltd.'s game page, and lo and behold, I find out the game supports the usual nine languages, plus one! The list includes "Chinese" (中国語) for some reason. I thought, maybe this is a mistake? It is not possible to change the language in-game, as you need to do it from the console settings. Nintendo's Japanese website is usually the most reliable of all its regional websites however. Why would they add Chinese to the list of languages for Flip Wars?

Just like that, I decided to visit the Chinese YouTube channel. What's that?! You did not know Nintendo has an official Chinese YouTube channel? Well, you're welcome!

I found it pretty interesting they uploaded both the January Switch showcase and E3 2017 trailers for Super Mario Odyssey at the end of June. What took so long? As far as I can tell, both trailers are virtually the same, except for one the fact both trailers include Chinese text on the game's logo, as seen below!

Is this really the best evidence to conclude that Super Mario Odyssey will indeed support Chinese, and thus the Nintendo Switch itself will support Chinese by extension?! (The game's release date is the same as other regions too!) What do you guys think?

Wishing this world would pay any sort of attention to the smaller details.
