Quick "Spoiler" For Super Mario Wonder. If you haven't gotten through the first two minutes of the game, read at your own risk:
The game, Super Mario Wonder, begins by telling us that the Mushroom Kingdom crew finally decides, for the first time, to visit a close (neighboring?) kingdom.
Out of nowhere, Bowser attacks this kingdom that he's never attacked before, gets incredible power, and starts the plot of most main Mario games.
Obviously, this is a kid's game and shouldn't be over thought, BUT why didn't Bowser attack when the Mario crew wasn't there? Or why didn't he take over the Mushroom Kingdom while they were out?
I can only conclude that he spies on the group and then stirs up trouble just so that they'll interact with him.
Does anyone have any other theories or thoughts besides "pure coincidence?"

Maybe even Bowser is a villain like to kidnap Princess Peach and destroy the places, but he still have something on his mind that made him not so evil villain.
Or probably the team who made Super Mario Wonder didn't want to make very complicated storyline like Ratchet & Clank / Final Fantasy games so Bowser got very unique personality as villain.
Yeah, the developers are definitely trying for a simple plot. It -is- for kids. But it leads to some bizarre coincidences if one actually sits down and thinks about it.
1. We already know Bowser stalks Peach and Peach was in the flower kingdom
2. At the start of the game they seemed to be having a big ceremony where the flower Prince was publicly displaying a wonder seed — seems like a good occasion to steal it without having to figure out where they're stored normally.
3. We don't actually know how travel between the flower and mushroom kingdom works - maybe the path is only open 1 week a decade. 🤔
