60fps docked and 30fps undocked with dips which is disappointing. The difference between them graphically isn't that big.

How difficult is this compared to Fire Emblem Warriors?

I put over 50 hours into that one, and really like that you didn't have to hold on to your original fort in the story mode (just had to keep Lianna/Rowan, or some other key character, alive), and that the stipulation didn't pop up until History Mode. I felt that helped me gradually get into it, if that makes sense. Is that the same here?

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

I'm super surprised and bummed they didn't use the huge benefit that would have been wireless local play. Isn't one of the huge downsides of limiting local to one console the fact that it can only render half as many enemies? Wouldn't allowing for each person to have their own console alleviate that during co op missions where enemy kills in a certain amount of time are important?

You do need to watch out for your own base. But I don't remember having to rush back to protect it being super common.

A nice side effect of the dumber AI, is that your controllable allies won't stray away from the target you gave them, so you can safely leave them at strategic locations to jump back to them when you need to.

(Like seriously Sakura, please just stay there I'll be with you in a se- No! Marth there's still enemies there!)

Other than that, the owl statues help.

I put a ton of hours into the Wii U and 3DS version. Looking forward to the combination of both games as both had good elements to them.

@Yosheel it handles swapping SD cards very easy but its still up to you to remember what SD card has what games on it because when you take the SD card out the games will still display on the main screen just it will have a SD card logo if the SD card is not in

so more than 2 SD cards and it be hard to remember what one you need to put in

I figured the easiest way to color code sd cards with common household materials would be with nail polish.

Yeah I noticed you playing it.

Aw I won't be able to play until next week. Had to send it to my brother's house since we're visiting, and it wouldn't have arrived here in time.

I played legends first and now this, definitely a big upgrade, not use to the higher FPS either, although I do notice dips from time to time. Other then the visual and performance upgrade, so like the extra stuff like bomb flowers, cinematic boss attacks not in legends, playing as ganon with the challenge mode, will be playing more soon for sure.

....will I get super far in the game?....not sure as I did a lot in legends, but still was no where near completing it, hopefully I don't burn out quickly.

No, and so it felt great when I was able to do a combo, a enemy fell on one, and then I continued the combo.
Oh ya, 8bit weapons wasn't in legends either, they were replaced with + weapons, so I guess that's the reason why it's a option in the new game.

Oh I guess I never noticed they were gone or something...

You know what, I'll use this wait time to continue the Lorule map in Legends. After doing every single thing I could do in Koholint and Great Travels, I neglected Lorule.

It will be nice to practice the game a bit before I move to the switch version and likely play the 3DS even less than I do now.

@RR529 I'm a bit biased, but I prefer this to Fire Emblem Warriors, but I'll try to be somewhat objective.

Better than FEW:
-Hyrule Warriors doesn't have any clones, characters play unique from each other and their playstyles change drastically when using alternate weapons (About half the characters have a second weapon. Link has, like, five or six.)

-HW pulls from a lot more Zelda games than FEW did with its franchise. If you are a fan of even just two or three Zelda games, you are likely to still 'get' a good portion of the fanservice.

Up to Preference:
-The HW alternative for History Mode is Adventure mode, where you 'explore' the world maps of Hyrule from different Zelda games in the original Zelda's 8-bit style. It's admittedly a bit more bloated, but still offers a wide variety of challenges. It's where the meat of the game lies, so most of the upgrades and alternate customs are obtained here.

-Weapons are much more fanatical. Even seemingly normal ones like Zelda's Rapier or Impa's Greatsword is coupled with a bunch of magic attacks or fancy stunts.

Worse than FEW:
-You can only level up the characters by playing as them. If they are brought into battle but are in the backlines the entire time, they don't earn experience.

-Ally units don't have much of an AI. They passively hang around. On one hand they don't die easily, on the other they aren't much help when you aren't playing as them.

If you still like the core DW combat, then I say pick it up regardless.

Those two games gives me motion sickness if I play more than 4 hours too many turning around and fighting. Last night, I spent 4 hours on Hyrule warriors and got motion sickness just like when I played on the 3DS version it's just was worse on NS. But I won't stop playing it though. Just have to watch those motion sickness and lessen my time on it.

Loving this game so much i'm honestly a bit overwhelmed by the amount of content and characters to choose from.
