One of the Switch's biggest selling points, is the fact that you can pass one of its detachable Joy-Con controllers to a friend for multiplayer games, not just at home, but also anywhere using the built-in kickstand. Many games leverage this feature from 1v1 fighters, to party games, racers, co-op games, etc.
Nintendo really wants people to use this feature, hence why every single marketing material involves 2-player Joy-Con. But how often do you actually use this feature? I find it comes in handy when playing with my sister, but I don't have many friends in my area, so I'm limited in who I can play with.
If I was in my teens I think I would use this feature quite regularly but my friends have stopped gaming now. I personally haven’t used this feature yet.
they say that life’s a carousel, spinning fast you’ve got to ride it well. The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams. It’s heaven and hell.
I use it a ton at parties when people come over or we go to someone's house. I've already used it multiple times for smash, and I've used it before for arms and mariokart
I've used on the road a lot, and for some multiplayer at home when the kids have friends over. It's honestly a great feature, not in use every day but good to have.

Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
I'm happy to say I've used the two joy cons on a few random occasions.
a couple notable ones spring to mind.
1) I was on a date, and we we're talking video games. she mentioned she used to play Mario Kart. I happened to have my Switch with me, so within minutes we were playing.
2) I was at a meetup group, and things were kinda awkward and quiet. so under the table, I was finishing a CPU battle on Smash Ultimate. two women there were asking me, "is that the new Smash Bros??" within a few minutes, the two of them were squaring off against each other.
