Topic: How is Zelda this good!?

While I enjoy LoZ games, I'm by no means a diehard. The only ones I've ever played all the way through are the original and a link to the past. However, BotW is poking my addict button. This is one of the only games that I turn on expecting to do a quest, and then go on a two hour tangent exploring an area, and becoming completely sidetracked, yet completely satisfied.

Other games I usually have that drive based on the reward of the grind. Grind xp to level up, grind money for gear, etc. But with BotW there is no reward for grinding, other than losing weapons, yet I find myself actually looking for something to fight; not because I want to level anything up, but because it's a lot of fun adventuring into the unknown and finding some monstrosity or a random shrine with a great puzzle.

This will likely be the first non mmo I get the DLC for, just to keep it going.

How did they do it? That'll be the Nintendo magic they sprinkle into only their best games!
