I got Active Life Outdoor Challenge for nintendo switch at Walmart on clearance. It builds up a good sweat~ 🤷♀️ I also got Sports & Fun Swimming, & Taiko No Tatsujin.
I was thinking of getting some other exercise games half to do inside & also because of winter:
Knockout Home Fitness
Fitness Boxing
Fitness Boxing 2
Fitness Boxing Fist Of The North Star
Does anyone know if the above games are any good & can recommend any other exercise games? Thank you for taking the time to read this~ ✌️ Much appreciated~ ✌️
I have Ring Fit Adventure , Fitness Boxing 2, and Fitness Circuit. They're all decent.
Ring Fit is cute and also has the most diverse exercises because of the accessories. The only downside is you have to deal with the accessories.
Lately I've been using Fitness Circuit the most — even though the motion controls don't work perfectly, it is pretty satisfying, has some nice visuals, and is great for a nice 20 minute aerobic exercise session to get a healthy sweat and work various muscles.
Just Dance also has a just sweat exercise mode. Not as intense of a workout as the other games, but kinda fun.
I've tried the Fitness Boxing games but find them too limited to maintain my interest. You'll work up a decent blood flow by doing the routines, but how long will you stay motivated/engaged by it? I recall Shiryu claimed to have played the first one daily for at least a year, but I'd have to make a big commitment to make myself stick to that schedule. I'd rather play ARMS, stood up and using motion controls, than Fitness Boxing. Less of a focused workout, but much more engaging.
I like Ring Fit Adventure but I don't like the way it was RPG-ified by having all the smoothies and gear to faff with. I'd like to be able to play the Adventure mode but with the Hearts mechanic turned off.
WarioWare: Move It is a ton of fun and will get you moving. It's not an exercise game per se (though there's a sort of exercise mode unlocked after beating the main game), but you'll find yourself sweating real quick, especially as the pace steadily increases. Highly recommended.
For more strenuous and, in some ways, traditional exercises, you'll want the excellent Ring Fit Adventure.
The EA Active games on Wii were particularly great and it's a shame that they aren't available on modern hardware.
There's also Jump Rope Challenge which is free, but really simple. And finally, ARMS with motion controls can tire you out in no time at all.
There was also a Zumba game released early in the Switch's lifespan which might be of interest.
For real?! 😍 I started playing Hatsune Miku on the 3ds & loved the 3ds game back then~ 👍 I saw the exercise hatsune miku game in the Japanese eshop but wasn't sure if we were getting it over here. Thought I might have to import again if no American release~ 🤷♀️
Ring fit is a RPG? Mehh I might pass on it mainly because I don't do to many rpgs if at all... 🤦♀️🤷♀️✌️ Thanks anyway's~ ✌️ As for Fitness Boxing staying motivated / on routine won't be a problem. With my autism I can do something over & over with out batting a eye if I like something. 🤷♀️
I don't do warioware just because it's wario... 🤦♀️✌️ I did try Jump Rope Challenge but got bored with it pretty quickly. Might add the zumba game to the list of exercise games to get.
As odd as this may sound. Right now taking Krav Maga classes does anyone know if any of these exercise games incorporate some of the same moves in krav maga. I know most of the moves in class but forget the names of the moves half the time. Thinking if I played exercise game that said the name of the moves then each time when playing the game it would help me better remember the names of specific moves if that makes any sense. Also doing the exercise games because still want to get off last 30 pounds to reach my weight loss goal. Already ordered & got shapewear tummy control undies lol~ 🤣 Thinking of getting the infinity hoop either this month or next. Does anyone know if it's worth getting? Just really curious. Already wore my shapewear undies under my krav maga uniform last night during class & sweated like a dog which is good. Not stopping until the weight is off. 🤷♀️✌️
@Barbiegurl777 I wouldn't write off Ring Fit Adventure as an RPG as such - it is a good piece of exercise software that anyone with a Switch and is in the market for exercise games should at least try - it just bugs me that they felt the need to insert mechanics into the Adventure mode meaning you get sidetracked from the exercise making smoothies and upgrading gear. But there are other modes besides the Adventure, including custom routines, high score challenges, and rhythm games.
How many accessories? Trying to declutter thing's / winter / spring cleaning in house... 🤦♀️
There are two — a cloth/velcro leg strap which takes very little space and a plastic ring which is about a foot wide or maybe a little more. One joycon goes into each when you're using it. The ring lets you do some fancier arm exercises and the leg strap is for tracking running motions etc.
OK I'll look into ring fit adventure. Seen it a few times at Walmart in the game section. Going to check a few reviews & watch a few videos on it before hand. What type of smoothies? & why are they putting smoothies in a exercise game? Just curious~ 🤷♀️ I used to do smoothies a while back not so much any more though~ 🤷♀️✌️
@Barbiegurl777 Adventure mode in Ring Fit Adventure involves 'levels' where you run along a course, maybe doing some squats, twists or upper body reps as you go, and then 2 or 3 times each course you reach a point where there's some enemies to battle. You battle them by performing reps of exercises, but it's turn based, so after you do a set of an exercise and knock some health off the enemies, they then attack you and you can't prevent them chipping at least some health away from you.
Sometimes in a battle, to prevent yourself losing, you need to do something to restore your health. This can be by performing reps of a particular exercise that you've chosen to be in your 'loadout' because it restores your health rather than attacks enemies, or you can drink pre-prepared smoothies (and I think soups and stuff, different options provide different benefits). This is the bit I wish at least optional, if not just removed.
But like I say, there's plenty you can do with RFA without even touching the Adventure mode if you don't want to.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
