@cyrex Xbox Obsession? At mine it's the PlayStation and they don't seem to hide the fact either.

@gamermole Let's just hope they don't have the shipments stolen like with Splatoon.

I honestly found Gamestation to be less reliable. The 3DS I bought from there died in a few months, had a fair few new games needing to be replaced multiple times due to not working at all with my consoles (e.g. Twilight Princess Wii, Halo 3). The biggest things I miss with them gone are the retro section and the competition.

By competition, I'm talking about the existence of competition promotes improvement of services that in the end benefits the consumer. So like Sony existing prevented Microsoft from blocking used games and other horrible policies revealed in 2013.

Never really have a problem with GAME TBH and never had a problem with their pricing either.

For me, I'd rather pay £45 for a game from them and get my Reward Points, rather than pay some random price at Asda or Amazon like £41 and get nothing back. That could just be me though.

Having said that, unless the game is a Nintendo game, I wouldn't pay over £30 for any game full stop now. Haven't done since about 2010.

Only problem I have with my two local GAME stores here in Cambridge is their lack of interest in Nintendo products full stop. It Drives me mad.

Especially as just yesterday I was half an hour up the road in Bury St Edmunds and they have tons of Nintendo stuff that isn't just used Wii games in their store there. Same can be said for Milton Keynes and Peterborough.

Apparently they pick sides but i haven't seen one of them pick nintendo. I mean its only 4 days for launch and they are doing a midnight release but not a single arceus damn ad for the switch, in fact they have load of posters for zero horizon and halo wars 2. Game suck

But surely the pittance they give back you would still be better off at Asda/Amazon/Tesco :S

A Chap in Game told me earlier how terrible the Switch line up was, when I compared it to any other launch and said I am looking at 5 games he commented it was for Nintendo "fan boys"

Switch games list,

Legend of Zelda BotW, Human resource machine, NBA Playgrounds, Street Fighter 2, Super Bomberman R, Snipperclips, Overcooked, World of Goo.

In stark contrast to the previous poster, when I went into my local Game (the one in BSE that GuruOfGreatness mentioned), I was browsing in there seeing what Zelda merchandise they had, picked up a couple of things from the Switch/Wii U stand that I liked, got to the till, then a guy who I sort of recognized from school who works there told me that had something else that he thought I might like, which I then also bought. He asked me if I had my Switch and Zelda on preorder, which I said I do and he gave me a wicked high 5! That totally made my day making that little gaming connection with him - they've always been very helpful to me in there, I have to say.

It is a shame to see that their staff and general attitude towards customers vary so much and I think they have no place calling people buying a certain console "fanboys" in such a negative-sounding way - everyone has their own preferences and that's just fine, but you don't have to behave like that. I will eventually be getting a PS4 myself as there are a lot of games I want on it, I just happen to want the Switch and Zelda way more right now and Nintendo are who got me into handheld and console gaming first so yeah, they are my preference.

@mav-i-am Oh my God! That's awful customer service. The job is not to put people off purchasing a console or games, it's the opposite. These people probably are the first to cry when they lose their jobs when said business goes bankrupt (again).

Meh, what can I say, I'm a sucker for points collecting lol. A few extra quid here and there on a £45 game for example isn't going to break the bank for me, plus I get £45 or whatever worth of points. I have nearly £30 on my Reward Card for example that will be going towards my Switch order.

Good to hear I do like the Bury store very much. They seem to fit a lot of stuff into what is essentially a small shop, but yet still present it all very well and neat and tidy too.

I avoid GAME in the same way I avoid unprotected carnal relations with 3AMers.
Absolutely horrible local store (Eastbourne) with workers who seem to solely love graphics and guns.
Vile human beings, vile company.
