Well known YTber Food4Dogs is tired of FPG's nonsense as well.

Switch Physical Collection - 1,251 games (as of April 24th, 2024)

I had a similar issue with Signature Games and the 'Alex Kidd: Miracle World' remake.

THANKFULLY, I paid with a Credit Card so got all my money back and bought the game from Argos.

That was the last game I got from these digital-to-game card sites as I too hate the delay and wonder if it'll ever get to me. That's why I spend a little more and buy them from E-Bay.

I never had any issues with LRG or Super Rare Games.

So still no sign of the refund from FPG for Crimzon Clover despite them saying weeks a go it would take a couple of days to process. I tried to get a refund via PayPal, but they said the retailer wasn't covered by their buyer protection guarantee.

I've emailed a couple of times and they are still not replying, so I tried the web contact form again and did get a response this time:

"...thank you for your message.
Crimzon Clover will be released sooner, we wrote Q3 in order to prevent to push back the release date month by month.
We will make a rather large announcement in this and other regards next week.
If you still would like to proceed with the cancellation, please tell us so."

29 months since preorders had opened.

Psychotic Adventures Origins is still "in production".

So I was tempted to wait and see what the 'rather large announcement' is next week, but I decided to go ahead and take the refund. It was all completed in a few minutes, so the previous rep that said I'd have to wait a few days for Accounts to process the request was obviously just trying to fob me off. Will likely never order anything from them again.

FPG letting customers know they'll be on break until January.

Funny.

I thought they've been "on break" for years now, lol.

Not satisfied with just ghosting their customers, FPG are now ghosting the developers they've partnered with.

I ordered Sydney Hunter and the Curse of the Mayan from them in June last year and their release tracker seems to be saying production hasn't started yet (in preparation?) and it's supposed to be shipping between April and June...my confidence is low...

Have you tried reaching out to their customer service to get an update on your order? They might be able to provide more information on the production status and when you can expect to receive your game.

Have you heard of Bingo Cash? It's a great way to earn some extra money while having fun playing games. Check out this review I found: https://joywallet.com/article/bingo-cash-review/

I hope your issue with First Press Games gets resolved soon, and happy gaming!

Well, its been eight months since I created this thread. That's the typical turn-around time for a more reputable boutique company like say...Limited Run Games. So lets check in with the Psychotic Adventures Origins production progress. Shock and awe, it hasn't changed. That's 44 months now since my order had been placed.

That means there are people who began high school, then finished high school, and product still hasn't shipped in that timeframe. I'm sure I'll see the product I ordered between tomorrow and never.

Probably more like never.

I'm getting a bit of Deja Vu... After swearing never to order anything again from FPG, I found out after backing the Kickstarter for Goodboy Galaxy on GBA, the distributer was.....FPG 😭

Same old story, the physical codes for the game went out in Sept23 with a rather optimistic "don't have an exact date, but should be before the end of the year" from the devs - FPG tracker was showing "winter".

A further update from the developers in November had (surprise!) tales of woe from FPG about quality issues and a clash with Chinese New Year pushing the date out to "Mid-March". FPG tracker still "winter".

Mid-March (and technically 'winter' I guess) has come and gone, with no update and no physical copy in sight. At this rate the Switch version will be out before backers get the physical GBA version, and the worst thing is, I can't say I'm particularly surprised given my previous experience and what I've read about this joke of a company. I really feel for the developer(s) here as they must be so frustrated that there's just delay after delay with this and seemingly every other game that these clowns are involved with.

Noticed the standard physical version of Crimzon Clover that I cancelled over a year ago now is still not shipping despite FPG telling me the Q3 2023 they had listed at the time was just a 'worst case' and it would likely be before then. It's now showing Q2 2024...

Goodboy Galaxy's Kickstarter just put out an update today giving an optimistic near-future shipment for the GBA physical release.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/penguinrik/goodboy-galax...
Apparently the hold-up was the plastic mold for the GBA cartridges and cartridge cases, and the packaging will be printed on the 16th of April which is when assembling and then shipping can begin.
It sounds like the circuit boards had been ready for a while.

GBA shipments:

Apologies for not getting this update out sooner, we were waiting on a last bit of information to be confirmed, which took a while to arrive. The upshot is: the mold situation on the cartridges (actually the cases, but it's a combined mold so was holding both up) is finally sorted so they're past the roadblock and in active production right now. 🎉🎉🎉

My understanding is they're only small so will be sent to the warehouse via air (quick!) - barring any further complications First Press Games are aiming for final-product send-out starting this month. (Of course, as I've learned, anything can happen, so please take this as all-the-information-I-have rather than a certainty). FP requested the print materials be revised, which I've done, and they're due to be delivered from the printers on the 16th, so that is the earliest point in the month when send-out could theoretically start. I may do another update at that point just to share the photos of the boxes etc. I don't have an estimate on the cartridge shipment, but have assurances that all will be done to ensure everything moves as quickly as possible.

Sorry again that this has taken such a long time, I hope you'll understand that we have done everything possible on our end to move it along - it's been a lot of hard work but I'm sure you'll be happy with the final product.

I'm glad that I can potentially expect to receive my GBA physical for Goodboy Galaxy by the end of April/early May, although this doesn't absolve First Press Games of all the Switch pre-orders I'm still waiting on.

@RupeeClock Yeah, I saw that this morning. The previous update mentioned an issue with the mold too and gave a mid-March estimate so I'm not holding my breath. Expect some BS excuse from FPG that either the printed covers never showed up (I'm assuming the don't do he printing in-house) or the cases got damaged in transit and had to be re-made or something.
