@lyantrying
You can't run out of room on your home screen. Sure, it can show up to 12 games, but if you have more, you can access them all via a new icon that will appear called "All Software".
As for redownloading, I am not aware of any limits in how many times you can do it. Maybe till Nintendo's servers go kaput?
@lyantrying Ownership of an eshop shop purchase is tied to your nintendo account. As long as switch eshop servers exist, you can delete & redownload the game all you want with the nintendo account that owns for the life of the Switch eshop servers. That's what ownership grants you. Switch eshop servers will probably run for antoher 5-8 years (I'm guessing).
Game save data is stored exclusively on switch internal memory. It doesn't matter if you save the game to switch internal memory or an sd card. When you delete a game, your save data will remain on switch internal memory. When you redownload the game, you'll resume the game from where you left it last.
Deleting a game & archiving a game both do the same thing. The only difference is, archiving keeps the game's icon on switch home screen.
